Cabinet looks good, playfield has normal wear around outholes but some damage around mansion inserts. Game is fully working with a new MPU and NV Ram installed. Very Dirty.

Addams family buyers are a finicky bunch.
My guess $5500 or so, give or take $500.
If it were really nice, shopped, leds, little to no wear with matching boards it would likely be $6500-$7000.
Typically any really dirty machine I've purchased has had hidden issues. Smart buyers will know it.

Current value via pinside website is:

Estimated value $5640 - $6560 (Type Solid state - Release 20,270 produced)

Current value via Mr. Pinball Price Guide 2018 (2019 isn't out yet) is:

Estimated value: $6,825 (1994 gold - only 1000 made is valued at $9,250+)

prob with pins is they are selling for 2-3x those asking prices cuz of the holidays and
it seems buyers lately have endless disposable income for these obscene purchases...

A friend of mine which usually calls me when he has games for sale called and offered it to me. When I went to test it all of the switches worked, DMD looked good without any issues but Thing wasn't working and the optos both showed closed. Cleaned the optos and soldered a wire to the motor and everything is working as it should. He let me have it for $4,300 with the new MPU, would have cut $200 of the price with the original MPU which was repaired but I'd rather not have to deal with it, I have enough stuff to fix without adding one more thing to the list. There are certain areas on the playfield which are brighter or clearer than others, that's where I did some spot cleaning to see how hard it would be to clean up, it takes some effort but it does clean up. It really is filthy. The Book Case and all other optos work great without any issues. For some reason the THING optos were just caked, I had to remove the board and thoroughly clean before they would register again. Yes, the apron art is non-existent so I'll have to find some decals.

A friend of mine bought a beat up Addams Family that was fresh off route from an operator for $3,000. Man it was filthy, needed lots of work, and the cabinet was in serious need of gluing and bondo (especially the backbox). So far, he's put $2,000 into parts for it plus $1,000 for my labor into making it work correctly. Now it actually looks great and plays great too.

nice pick up

At $4300, you can play the hell out of it until you are sick of it and probably make a few bucks when you sell it.

My purchase number would have been $4500, so I think you did pretty good.
I don't buy projects unless I really have to have it or there is some room left after it's done.

After reading your comment I feel like I got a pretty decent deal. I definitely wouldn't have paid $3K in that condition.

Thanks, I feel the same way. I don't usually sell off pins though but you never know. There's a lot of mods for this game that really look like they should have come with the game. Lester Mod, Vault Mod, Thing decal and so on.

Go easy on the mods.
You got a good deal.
But the insert wear likely can't be fixed nor can any playfield wear.
You don't want to be in the game any more than have to.

Guys are really picky with higher end pins.
A few dollars can make a difference and people tend to not pay up for mods.

I'm actually going to try and fix the wear. I plan on buying a new PF so figured I would play around and expirement with this one. I dont plan on selling it either, I don't really sell my pins and have only ever sold one. There isn't any other playfield wear other than the damage around the inserts.
