Upright cab, appears to be good working condition. They're asking 200 for it. Good deal? Thoughts on the game?

Good price for a solid game. Anywhere from $200-$300 is about normal. Around $100-$200 is a steal.

Game is fun. But for some minor graphics tweaking, it's essentially the same game as Hang-on. Will endure alot of replay value at parties if you have a good mix of other games to go with it. I like the plastics on the cab, but I've heard they are a nightmare to move around.

Glad to hear on the gameplay, but what makes them a nightmare to move? Won't have much back up on moving this one if I get it, so it would be good to know what to look out for :D

I've heard the curves of the plastics around the monitor area is difficult to get a good hold on and it doesn't really have a really good side to lean against a dolly. Definetely want to bring straps with your dolly.

I'd say 200 ain't a bad price. I dolly mine from the rear, with a couple of sturdy folded up cardboard moving boxes between the dolly and the cab. Provides good support without putting pressure on the top plastics.

CHECK THE CONTROLLER.

$200 is a very nice price, but be aware of the complexity
of the panels on this genre of SEGA racing uprights.

Before purchase, if possible, put in TEST MODE and then
select INPUT TEST.

Check controller LEFT/RIGHT operation. Center is 80H.
Check brake and accelerator.
Often, they get gummed up or don't work properly.
Is vibration motor functional and healthy?
Is plastic shroud yellowed or is it still a pure white?
How are the custom stickers?
It is hard to get certain parts for this game.
The accelerator cable is a style not used in other
SEGA bike games like hang-on or enduroracer.

Personally, I love SHO and it has a permanent home in my collection.

Definitely try out test mode. I recently re-adjusted a screwed up brake on one of these and it was a real pain. The tolerance on the gear adjustment was VERY tight and it took a lot of work to get it right. Not sure if that's standard or the one I was working on was messed up.
