Just wondering what a Sega Star Wars Trilogy board set would be cost me. I may be in the market for one...

Luckily yes I should have a lead on a control panel already. Basically the only thing I really need is that Model 3 Step 2.x board. I had a feeling the board would be pricey, but can anyone give me some kind of idea on what to expect to pay? I was thinking something like $200-$300 but hopefully I'm not way low on that. You need a Model 3 Step 2.0/2.1 board to run SWT. Sadly, they aren't cheap. You can use SWT ROMs on any 2.X stack to run Trilogy.
That is a cool pick-up for free, but it is missing quite a bit, it seems. Do you have the flight stick and panel by any chance? If not, look for that to cost almost as much as the boardset.
SWT is an awesome game, though and worth the effort. Good luck with the project!
Thanks again for your reply. I will probably just look for a SWT board and if I don't have any luck I'll look for something model 3 step 2.x. I should be able to burn the eproms if I have to convert it, but as you said there's a security board involved. Obviously that wouldn't be as costly as the whole board, but I'd rather avoid the hassle and just find a working SWT. Thanks again!I would say 200-300 should get you one.
Be careful with Virtua Striker boards as there was a version released on Step 1.5. Make sure you are buying a Step 2.x. Also, don't forget you will need a SWT security board if you go for a conversion.
