Price check- Spiders by Sigma

...

I actually paid $600 for mine ($200 shipping) and its dedicated.

Keep in mind there several versions of this, since it was licensed to other companies. The white cab (like looping) is the venture line version, which is the most valuable.

The ones in the wood grain cabs (similar to Lady Bug/Mr Do) are worth far less.

Had a chance to buy this one years ago but never did. I kinda wish I had. :)

It's fun. The interludes with Mona Lisa are neat too. $150 isn't bad for anything working. It's just a matter of space. I'd like one, but I'm always ditching neat games for more space.

I bought one about 12 years ago that was in a cabaret from Warehouse of Games when they were still here in St. Louis with a glitchy monitor for $50. It had a cold solder joint. That was my 1st purchase. They also threw in an empty midway cabinet that I still have (MAMed it eventually).

Looking at the instruction manual- it mentions a rapid fire mod enabled through the use of jumpers. Has anyone done this mod?

Got it today! It is the white Venture Line version, and it has everything in good condition.

Here's an overall shot:

The game in action, there's sun glare in the pic, but the game looks perfect:

Might need a touch up of paint or a little bondo, but it's overall good. Also, for some reason, the coin guards are missing, I'm just going to put it in freeplay for now. Need a fuse for the marquee, and I can't find the power switch so I've been plugging and unplugging it.

Awesome game, playing it in MAME is no substitute. :D

Anyone know what kind of fuse I need for the marquee and how to replace it? Where is the on off switch, or is it supposed to be turned on and off by removing the plug?

On/off switch for the marquee light, or for the game?

It could have a bad ballast, bad starter, bad bulb, or all three. Test the ballast first with your multimeter so you don't kill a new bulb and starter if it's bad. If the ballast is good, install a new starter and/or bulb.

There isn't a switch for the light. Switch for the game is usually on one of the lower back corners, or on the very top of the cabinet. If you can't find it trace the lines from the power supply.

Put the meter on the ohms setting. If the ballst is good, you should get a reading of about 25 ohms IIRC. If you need to replace it, bring it to Home Depot, Lowes, etc., and match it up there. Starters are usually FS2, but same as above, bring it with you to match it.
