Got a chance to buy a Scared Stiff. Machine has been on route at one time and is in pretty good shape. Has the typical battle scars from being on route but nothing major. SS needs shopped but no major issues. What is SS going for these days. Also have a chance to buy a Terminator 2, Maverick and DE Batman. Any help with known issues or things to look out for and prices. I have always collected EM early SS machine and am now ready to buy a DMD.

I would say an average SS should be around $2700-$3000 range. They haven't been selling for much more than that in New England.

SS is an expensive pin. Fun, but not deep and for that kind of money it will get boring quick. There are many better options and bang for your buck. You should be able to practically buy all three Terminator 2, Maverick and DE Batman for the price of the single SS.

Such as......?????

For the 3k+ it would cost, I would rather just about any other non-A-list game and save myself $1,000 in the process. There are games like Star Trek: Next Generation, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and White Water that are much deeper and challenging and you save a bunch of cash. If you like Elivra, get an Elivra and the Party Monsters and save yourself $1,500.

I got mine about 5 years ago and I paid $2800 for her. Here are a few things to look for in making your offer. Crate door. usually beat up. Crate pin (it holds the crate closed until multiball) that's usually missing. I've only seen 1 that was working properly. Spider hole. Usually bashed up or chipped. Cracked Boney beast ramp. Skill shot area, chipped or beat up.
Boogie men plastics at the bottom, usually broken. Spider on the backglass. make sure that works.

I had to rebuild the crate including a new door on mine, fix the broken Boney Beast Ramp, repair the spider in the back box, fix the coffin spring (it usually is weak or broken) roughly ~$200 extra just in parts. You can still get ramps and parts for her. and there are so many different things to add on that they took off the machine like the led kit for the dead heads, dancing boogiemen eyeball shooter rod.

For value, it's worth it to me since I'm a huge fan. I added a 250 watt subwoofer to her, a bunch of led's, a fan for the back box, a new boney beast ramp.
It's and easy game to play, not too complex, tons of fun at parties, and she holder her value. Plus, there were only 4028 ever made. so she's a little rare out in the wild.
