Thinking about getting myself a Jukebox. Been perusing craigslist looking for something at an inexpensive price that also looked halfway decent. I saw this one and figured I would get some opinions of people a lot more knowledgeable them myself.

Good price? Haven't even contacted them yet, wanted to arm myself with more information before continuing. Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks!

not for me

You should be able to find a better looking machine then that for 300.00 especially not working if you like the looks offer 100.00 parts are hard to come by and shipping ads up. I bought a working rockola 490 for less then that and I think much better looking.

No kidding...$300 is a bit steep for a non-working jukebox. I bought a semi-working Rowe R-93 for $70 (only needed to reattach the belt that held all the records in the drum when it was spinning) and 2 Rock Ola 484s for $40 each (one semi-working, the other because I needed the parts to get the other one working), and a semi-working Rowe R-88 for $40 (only needs a new keypad).

Keep searching or do what coinopjunkie said and offer $100. Good luck with the search and let us know how it turns out!

Thanks guys.

If I did get it cheaper and got it working. Would this be a decent machine? or should I be looking for something else? Are there any models or brands I should make sure to stay away from?

Rock ola jukeboxes are nice. That looks to be in nice shape. I have parts if you need them i would offer the guy 150. The worst he can say is no. I just bought 30 jukeboxes out of a warehouse today!!! Cant wait to start playing with them lol

That would be a nice machine when it's working. I had a 454 and the sound was amazing.

As for the price, the others are right. $300 for a non-working juke like that is really high. I've seen very nice, fully working ones like that sell for only $300-$350. I'd offer him $100-$150 and leave it at that. I don't think anyone will pay $300 for a non-working record juke. Shoot, you can get a decent working CD juke for $400-$500.

So, went and saw it today. It looked pretty good in terms of outward appearance. However, it was not working and wasn't even being consistent in its non operation. Sometimes it would let you make a selection, sometimes it wouldn't, and it never would pick up the record.

Anyways, I offered less and they weren't really budging. So, I walked.

Continuing the search...
