Spent a couple hours playing at the bar. The game was pretty hammered, but I still found it to be a lot of fun. Checked ebay, don't find that to be a very realistic indicator of either pin or vid prices.

Is a clean/working player quality RBION in the 2k range?

I could swear I saw one here or somewhere near here for 2100$ on craigs...

Thats what I was thinking. When I was just doing general pinball searches for less expensive games, I thought I had seen a couple of them for under 2.5k. Ebay prices are hanging around the 3k area, but I thought they were inflated like vid prices.

I've been looking for a Defender upright, and the same ones sit on there for months with $1500+ Buy-It-Now's.

Forget looking directly at eBay. That is the worst thing anyone can do.
Pinpedia.com logs FINISHED/SOLD pins and gives you a general idea of what the market is willing to yield. The only fault is it doesn't give you an idea of actual physical condition. For me personally I take each price and assume that the machine was in average shape. If I look at a machine and exceeds my expectations I feel OK about paying more than the following.

I can't stress enough how this site is just so awesome to put one of those (well on eBay it sells for) assholes. You can't argue fact - it's a sweet leverage tool for sure.

And in my area RBIONS in 2011 were listed for $2000 - $2800. The $2800 was 2 supposed HUO's.

Thanks Deadly... I actually remembered looking at this site at one time. When I googled "pinball sale prices" and "pinball values" it took me to a site that was selling them in book form.

I'll bookmark it this time! :)

Ripley's usually start around $2,000 for a complete, working game. I got mine for $2,000 and it had flipper guard rails installed, a cliffy protector for the scoop and LEDs and it was in very clean working condition, so I got a pretty good deal overall. It is a fantastic pin and it will never leave my collection. It is very deep and challenging. Getting the wizard mode is extremely difficult. Tons to do and explore. You want be disappointed if you take the plunge on one.
