i think you're looking at $2000+ for either....maybe $2500+ depending upon the person you're trying to buy from.

i've tried, but i cannot get into the P2K stuff.....granted, i've only played revenge and never played star wars E1.

a local route vender has 2 sw ep1 and 1 rfm for $2,695 each they are all currently on location . if sold he will shop them before pick up. location, chico,ca.

i have a SW E1 and a Revenge for sale here in kansas city. 2250 for each unshopped if you are interested and working 100%.

so many projects i just havent the time to shop them as of yet. i do have pictures of the REVENGE and can get some of the SW. PM me your email if you are interested

a friend of mine bought a SW E1 about a year ago from the guy in colorado for 2600 plus the shipping. it is mint condition.

Don't waste your time with Splat, been asking for photos of his stuff along
with information for his deals for weeks now, have yet to see any photos
of anything he is offering, to be quite honest do not think they exist, he's
all smoke and mirrors imo.

You should be able to pick up an unshopped project machine for 1500 to 1800.00, if you pay anything over 2K should be shopped out for that amount, make sure you find a machine that doesn't have any wear
around the inserts.

oh i get it.
you're mad at me cause i wouldnt sell you my MEDIEVAL MADNESS to you for $3000.00. i should just hand you 5 grand
you're mad at me cause i wouldnt take your whatever offer of pinballs that i didnt want for the MEDIEVAL MADNESS
what you were offering as good as it might be, wasnt something i wanted. i should just take your offer no matter how much i didnt want it ?

but to slander me when im trying to make a living...thats not right.

you should rethink how you control yourself instead of flying off the handle as often as you do.
being under control will get you farther than how far the flying off the handle is getting you.

Not sure what they are going for now.

I have a pair (RFM with Star Wars kit). Bought from a fellow collector 4 years ago. Never routed, previous owner bought both new in box. Home use only.

I bought them with an extra NOS motherboard, uncut sheet of Star Wars plastics, extra ROM daughter card and some other extras for $3250.

For what it's worth.

I picked up a RFM yesterday for $1800.

Playfield in amazing shape, save for a couple of bad bulbs and a couple rollovers that need replacing.

Cabinet side art is tough on the corners.

Someone had mentioned to look out for wear around the inserts, I'm not sure what inserts are, lol.. does anyone have a pic of what I'm supposed to look for? I am actively looking so any help would be appreciated!

Oh, and looking not to ship one.. :)

inserts are all the plastic lenes stuck into the playfield. they can lift a little and you will see wear around the edges of the lens(paint cracks/wears off).

You used to see lots of episode 1 kits when midway blew them out. Never paid much attention to what they sold for. I would guess $750-$1k. It also depends also if the have an extra prism card. Thats an extra and makes the conversion much easier..

As for a price, I paid $2200 for my RFM like 6 years ago. It was sort of home owned as it was bought and spent all its operating life in a company break room.

also there are no revenge kits.. So if your thinking going to get a kit, you need to buy a RFM.

Inserts are the spots on the playfield that the light signs through that have the working on them. on RFM, it's the martian eyes, or the round areas with the mode titles, amoung others :)

On a side note, how often do SWE1 kits come up and what do they normally sell for?

I see them every once in a while, NIB for around $900 or so. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. The key is to get a ROM card (and not just the roms) and the swaps will be alot easier :)

Any idea where those Prism cards can be obtained and what they normally go for?

Ebay or rec.pinball is probably best place to find them, you would need
a prism card and the rom board (So essentially two boards), Rom boards
are cheap and still can be found without too much trouble, the Prism
card guessing but probably going to spend 200 to 400.00 on a known
good working one.

You do not need two seperate prism cards to swap between the RFM
and SWE1 Kit, just need one Prism Card and you can swap the RFM and
SWE1 Rom boards back and forth, just easier and faster to have a dedicated
prism card for each, but not necessary, you could also just use one rom
card between the two also.

Best bet is try and find someone that is converting their P2K over to the
new NUCORE computer setup and they usually will sell off all their old hardware for resonable price to help offset the cost of the NUCORE.

I agree with this. I bought a Prism Card for $100, but it seems to be having issues :(. Was sold to me as untested so I took a chance, but with NuCore coming out full force now, these prices should come down a little bit. They used to command a premium but now that Nucore is out, they can't corner the market on Prism cards anymore.

It's not THAT hard to switch games without a seperate Prism card. The one that you want to get is the daughter card that the ROMs seat onto. THAT would be a royal pain in the you-know-what to switch every time.

Without the spare prism card, and with the daugter ROM card, I can make the switch in about 20 minutes, most of which is updating the software (which is unnecessary if you have the spare Prism card), it's really not hard at all.

Hope that made sense.

Chris

Perfect! Thanks!

I'm looking at one local for $1900 in pretty good shape, not mint, just has some minor wear on it.. nothing like I would expect for a well used machine. I may pull the trigger on this one...

A friend of mine just sold an RFM on ebay in very good shape, fully shopped, with full LED's, silverjets, the Nucore system, and a flatscreen 22" LCD monitor for $3100.

Local guy here is selling RFM for $3,500. Do people just throw these inflated prices out there for the hell of it?

Forgot to mention, also saw a listing for a StarWars Pin2000 for $3,995.

funny, in my searches I've found several for right around $2K. Where are you guys getting $3K+ for these? And in my searches I'm learning there is no shortage of them out there for sale...

the only one in this post that said one sold for over 3k (I think) was fully shopped and converted to LCD. That makes sense.

There are a ton of these around and $2K seems to be the center of the curve. I passed on a $2200 RFM with some playfield wear. It only took a week before a better one for less $$$ came up. You dont even have to be 'that patient' to get a good one at a $2k price.
