I have a Karate Champ Cocktail unit that I am thinking of selling. I bought the unit not working but I got it up and running, replaced the glass, smoked plexi, and the bezel with all new parts. Machine works great. So what do you guys think it's worth. I have never seen another one myself but I know of others that have. Check out the attached pic.

I know KC's dont sell for much, but that cocktail is pretty freaking cool looking.

Never saw the cocktail KC before but as previously mentioned, the game play is lacking (IMHO). I recall collecting quite a few quarters from a few KC's back around 1989-1990, though. There weren't many options back then in the neighborhoods where the games were located (inside convenience stores) so the kids would play.

yeah it's wierd, people either love Karate Champ or hate it. I actually wish I could keep this but simply don't have the room for it anymore. I put some money/work in to it this so I don't want to get rid of it for too cheap.

It is one of the games that I would play just to remember BITD and then be done for a while. If I found one cheap and had space, I would buy one, though. :)

There is bound to be someone out there that would be interested because it is a rare specimen.

I would own one for the simple fact that they played it in Bloodsport.

why does it look like it's a conversion that used an atari football or track and field cocktail cab? Could be original as there are two instances shown but, what a weird design if it is.

That cabinet looks sort of like the cabinets for those games but it is not at all the same cabinet. I have never seen a CT version of this game in the wild and I thought I had seen everything.

$200-250 range (can't tell the condition.) Personally, I think Karate Champ is a great 2 player game.

Todd from TNT sold a nice, nice, example of the CT a year (or more) ago on eBay. I think it got between 300-400. Maybe he can chime in...if he still posts here. Need to find the right buyer for this one I think.

For the amount of space that thing takes up - I had a T&F CT on pedestal - you'd want to convert it.

Back to Track and Field or Hypersports, if possible.

Great 2 player game, but that thing is huge for KC.

I remember seeing one of these years ago in a ski resort's mountian top lodge. I can't remember which mountian it was though... maybe Peak Lodge at Sunday River?

I'm one of the people who loves the game, I used to play it quite a lot. If I had the space for it I would be interested.
