I have a chance to pick up a PP2 and Galaga, both in working condition.

There is also a non-working Birdie King and 2 non working Pole Positions...

What is a fair offer?

The Galaga looks to be in good shape. I paid $500 for mine and I'm happy with that. That's probably more than the KLOV price, but it really depends on how much you want it.

I'm not sure on the PP2 price, but get them to throw in the Punch-Out!! while you are there.

When I got the email and saw the Punch-Out, my pants got kinda tight....then I saw this...

IIRC, the seller has been trying to unload those games for a while. There's been a thread or two on here about it. May help you bargain with the seller.

Unless you keep your games far, far from Michigan, you're safe.

So...what is a fair offer?

Do you recall any of the thread names so I can search, or do you know what he was asking?

I might as well share...

Seller is asking $700 for:

WORKING - Galaga and PP2
NON WORKING - Pole Position, Pole Position, Birdie King

Is it a good deal?
Must take all 5.

Seems good to me. You can look at it as $350 for each of the working games and you get the other three as a bonus. That Galaga looks like it should clean up nicely.

Again, are these games you wanted or are you only thinking about it because they are available. That may lower your costs. Offer something below the $700 and work your way up.

I emailed the seller yesterday about the the PPII. I do recall his posting several months ago. my gut feeling is he just needs to move them out and wants the space. I'd offer him $550 and see what happens. I think the PPII and Galaga would need some cosmetic work and for the others...could part them out. just my 2 cents

To be honest, I'm not really into the classics. I would probably just buy these, fix them up, and then try to flip them. Is it possible to make money on them at $700?

Yes, if you are not in a hurry and can wait for someone to buy them. I would not pay that much if I planned to just flip them. Could take a while to sell, especially, if as stated above, this person has had on on CL for a while.
