So over the past 6 to 8 months the price on video and pinball games seem to be on the rise. Problem is in my neck of the woods it's hard to figure out what the true value of a game should be. Normally I just brows the local Craigslist and get an idea of what they are going for. How do you guys go about getting current pricing? I'm wondering if theres an online source or something I'm not aware of? Last year I worked on a Medieval Madness for a guy, at the time they were going for somewhere in the 5k range for a nice unit. Now I see them selling for twice that + (none around here) but that just seems ridiculous.... I'm just about ready to sell a Tempest (as soon as I'm done restoring it) and also possibly another Pinball (Bally Radical) I'm not wanting to gouge anyone on price but I don't want to rip myself off ether...

Whoah.. 10K for a Medieval Madness? That's beyond ridiculous. A seller may ask for that price.. but I'd say he'd be really hard up to get it.

Location etc is always key. Recently at Texas Pinfest here in Dallas I saw a very nice Tempest with a Tempest Tubes kit on it and the guy wanted $695. Thats a fair and even good price. Though two rows over there was another tempest in the $1,100 range. I guess it really depends on the seller and all billion other factors.

I can assure you though, anyone who pays 10K for a Medieval Madness is a tool. hah

I just sold a nice tempest last week for $750.. Depends on how nice yours is and what you have done to restore it.. Post some pictures and a list of what you have done to it..

Yea, I can't see spending 10k on a pin, besides the fact I cant afford it but even if I could... I was thinking I'd ask $500 to $600 for the Tempest so I guess I'm in the ballpark on that one. On the pin, I'd guess that a decent pin in great shape (shopped) should go for somewhere between $1700 to $2000 but I see some selling on CL for $2200+

I'v just pulled the Tempest out of storage, no pics yet but I'll get some. Complete unit, recapped monitor with LV2000. Recapped/re-flowed main board, rebuilt ARII, Power brick. I'm also planing on touching up the side art and some repainting. New T-Molding, control panel overlay and marque. All the basics, nothing special but it'll look nice when I'm done. No tubes kit though...

You guys ever go through vintage arcade superstore in Cali? I got a good deal on a cab fully restored. He negotiated a bit but their list price are pretty damn high. Anyone else notice that with them?
