Price check please: Atari Road Blasters

How much for a clean working unit? Thanks for any inputs.

I bought mine complete and working for $99. I sold the kit itself for $175. Road Blasters is the most recognized but least valuable of the Atari System I games. I would expect values between $100-300, settling on around $200-250 as a national average.

i sell them often for 200.00, fully working, and plain black sides. If they have full sideart on both sides, they usually get set aside and make marble madness out of them as that game commands more with sideart, but average buyers dont pay extra for sideart on roadblasters. I had 10 of them at one time and my market is chicago which is a pretty good size market.

I buy them all the time for 50.00 non-working and usually pay about 100 for working ones. I avoid them like the plaque nowadays. make sure all the trigger buttons and thumb buttons work. There are two different styles of buttons that were used on the game and its a pain in the ass to mess with the buttons (i always have the opposite kind on hand than what i need). Couple years ago they commanded a little more but not much.

hope this helps

Just bought one last month with a dead g07 monitor, plain black sides for $75..i saw the results of phets nice restore to a marble madness and decided to do one also.

My Roadblasters saga:

-I bought the complete Road Blasters for $99
-Bought an Indiana Jones kit for roughly $200 shipped
-Converted RB to IJ
-Sold RB kit for $175 shipped
-Traded even up my IJ kit for a Road Runner kit
-Bought sideart for $85 shipped
-restored cab and converted to a RR
-Bought Marble Madness kit for $385 shipped (complete with xtra Motherboard)
-Sold RR kit for $250 shipped
-Converted RR to MM
-Sold Motherboard for $100 shipped
-Sold restored MM for $1050

Oh, forgot misc rebuild/repairs of $100 (ARIII, Big Blue, new CP harness)

Can anyone do the math on that one for me?

I see them listed locally often, always between $300-$700. But in the end they can be had for $250-$450 depending on condition.

$300 max for one in pristine condition, less than that for any imperfections (missing/torn side art, broken buttons, really bad screen burn...), almost every RB upright I see has at least one of these symptoms, if not all of them. I got mine for free, but its a great game and I would buy one for a good price if I had to, but its very, very common, so obviously worth the least out of all the System 1 kits.

Also, if this is a cockpit, add a couple benjamins to it. They are getting harder and harder to find.

I have seen so many for $100, I still have an empty cab. I just can't justify the expensive parts to get it going. I think I will just wait to find a complete working one.

If anyone comes across one in the Seattle area and doesn't want it let me know! I am on the lookout. I used to play this at Sun Villa Lanes in Bellevue when I was a kid .. good times :)
