I know not an arcade game but it is still retro 80's arcade related. A guy wants to trade this for my Ms Pac-Man. What do you guys think the value of his machine is?

I would put the two machines in the same ballpark for prices. Take it if you are interested. Ms Pacs are depreciating right now, while I would bet classic soda machines are not depreciating because people don't tend to have 10 of those in their basement like they do arcade games.

I figured as much. The Pepsi Machine is suppose to be fully functioning and gets ice cold. And it is the smaller version. He is asking $400 for the machine or trade for an arcade game. I sent him pics of my BZ and NeoGeo for trade. He saw Ms in the pics and peeked his interest. And I got my Ms pacman as part of a group lot and after selling off parts it cost me nothing. Also have an Original Pacman. Not sure if i need both.

In all seriousness, thats a NICE Ms Pac. I dont think its a fair trade. You can do better. I mean hell, the Pepsi machine is outside, who knows how long its been weathering?

I emailed him back told him it's a possibility. That i need better pictures of his machine inside and out. What is a nice Ms Pac worth $600? I can get another Ms Pacman from the same op i bought this one from. I may do the trade if the guy is willing to throw some cash in. It's like a 2.5hr drive 1 way. And it's not the kind of stuff i like to meet half way and hope it works when I get home.

A nice Ms Pac could be $600, but that Soda machine could also be $600.

In the circles you run in it will be easier to snag another Ms pac than it will be to snag another nice soda machine.

You might want to say something along the lines of "Well, a Ms Pac of this price could bring $600 as long as I wasn't anxious to sell, so how about you toss in $100 worth of soda and we call it a deal.

Yeah the guy I bought mine from has 10 or 12. But this is the only Pepsi Machine I have seen for months. And it is the smaller easier to manage size. Even with 8 selections. And the wife is on board with getting it. But if it's all rusted out it's not worth it. Told the guy i needed better pictures.

Ms Pac is worth more if both are working. If you had both and tried to sell them the Ms Pac would sell first.

Yeah I ended up getting the Pacman for free too. But was converted to JR. So i need to acquire a marquee, bezel and pcb to change it back. I try to work deals when i acquire my games that it doesn't cost my household finances much if anything.

You also need to factor in that that Pepsi machine will cost you around $20 or so a month to run. Always keep it stocked or it will cost you even a little more. The more product you keep in there the less the compressor will have to run. Ive started collecting old coke machines and have really learned a lot lately. In my opinion Id say the machine is probably only worth $300 max.

I would say ms pac is probably worth more. It really comes to if you want the soda machine. If your thinking of flipping it, then its a very bad trade. MS pac is 10x easier to sell.

Also, the newer machines can dispense anything from redbull to 1 liter bottles.

Pepsi Machine for Ms Pac

I have a pop machine in the garage and I love it, keeps my fav beverage ice cold. It does not cost all that much to run, but keep it full or it will run alot. The big thing is get a good look inside the machine, check for mold, bad smells, check for rust inside and around compressor. See how cold it gets too. Check the seals around door, make sure all the lights work. How does it work, coins or push credit button.

It makes a cool addition. That machine looks nice from pics. 200.00

Yeah those machines look kept indoor and cheaper. Needing Freon or a compressor isn't an issue. My brother does HVAC for a living. He re-charges all my stuff for free.

I don't know about Michigan, but Pepsi machines pop up in the $75-$150 range frequently around Denver and Northern Colorado. The first one I got, I paid $75 for and all it needed was 1 microswitch. The second one I got for free... I say keep the Ms. Pac, a better deal will come along.

Yeah, I figure if he wants to trade the Pepsi Machine + $400 i'll do it. But his machine is only a $100-$150 machine.
