Price check on working battlezone

Maybe if it's in really really nice shape.

Yeah, it had better be pretty nice for that price.

I paid $160 for mine, almost complete but untested (no AC where it was located).
I've since put over $250 more into it (repro alum joystick bezels, NOS handle shells, Braze HSS kit, repro centering grommets, flourescent bulbs, etc.) to make it nice.

That's pretty high for a Battlezone. Again, maybe if it's real nice and it has the Braze kit already installed.

I paid $235 for a working one back in Aug. Got it home and it was tweakin', of course. Added the Braze kit, cleaned all the legs on the Roms, flowed new solder on header pins and it came back. Haven't had a problem since. Love the game, but it can be problematic.

What's a joystick bezel? You mean the CP?

I paid $300 for mine and have about $400 in to the damn thing... and it STILL isn't 100% working. Yes, I'll never be able to part with the game because no one in their right mind would pay me what I have in to it.

:D

I'd pay $500 for a mint HUO example...Would probably need the bradley trainer roms too....

I paid $150. good condition, working but had one bad rom.

I think $250 is a solid price for a good condition, working BZ.

Wow I would pick up every battlezone I could for 160-200:eek: They dont sell that cheap here.. I have sold 3 in the last year non have sold for less than $450 and that was a cabaret.. I paid $500 for my first working Battlezone and it was worth every penny...

Now if the machine is not working or cabinet is bad then the price goes down...

Obviously they can be found for cheap but of course they will need work. If it works, has been serviced, meaning cap kit, interconnect reflowed, no broken handles, overall excellent physical condition it isn't out of line for that price. Working boards can fetch half that price, the handles don't come cheap either and the monitor can cost at least $100. Personally I would wait for a deal on a good condition project but if that isn't your thing and this machine is clean and runs without issues for hours then go for it.
