Got a guy I'm asking to buy this Dig Dug upright off of him. So he shot me a price for it's current condition, he started with $300....but I got him to go down to $250 so far.... It's non-working and I will describe the details!

The cabinet is in good shape. It's dedicated and everything is original from the factory.
Atari Power Brick, Linear PSU, Controls, CPO, Bezel, Side art, and Marquee.

Literally this thing hasn't seen the light of day since 1987, the tax stickers prove it and he confirmed it's just been sitting in storage for all these years.

We plugged it in, we get neck glow on the G07 (i think its a G07), Marquee lights up, player buttons light up, coin door lights up, but we get no picture and there is an odd loud noise tearing through the speakers. The LED on the CPU board is lit, but as far as I'm concerned it could be the game or power brick causing the issue. It's a little dirty from sitting in storage forever.......but nothing too impossible to clean up.

What ya'll think?

Is this from the warehouse off airline by any chance? I got a Dig Dug to power up there with no display a month or two ago that had neck glow on a G07 and the LED lit up with some dirty pot noise form the speaker. He wanted $250 which was more than I wanted to pay.

In any case, I'd offer $125 and go up to $150 personally. It's just not worth paying that much for something that needs fixing IMO when Exidy's price guide lists it at $200-350, and that's in working condition.

The very same guy, but he told me he hasn't even plugged it in a while. So either its a different cabinet or he just forgot about you lol. Guy's name is Kim, if I spelled that right. Warehouse next to Advantage Auto.

I would kinda like it, $250 seems meh to me.....but I would really love to work on something like this. Something "All" original!

Now that I think about it, there were 2 of them. One was the warehouse owners Dig Dug in the back that I worked on, the other was up in the front section that was his friends machine. It was locked and the key was over an hour away. He didn't know if it worked at the time, and the AC cord was inside the cab, so I passed at the $250 price. I don't remember what was next to the warehouse, but it sounds like it might be the same place.

That was in early July, probably around the 10th. That means he's been sitting in it for at least 2 months, maybe he will be ready to deal soon if he really wants it gone. All original is really nice, but it does still need fixing, and no reason to overpay for a project.

if it's really nice condition physically from being untouched so long then I would say $250 is definitely a fair price even non working.
