Would like to get some sitdown Daytona USAs at one point (working). Just wondering what the going range is so I know how much to get together or what to sell.

I have seen pairs of them at auctions go in the $300-$500 range. On KLOV here they seem to go for about $1000 for a pair. The worst was I was watching an auction online, and was going to bid on a pair for my friend, and the auction's website messed up and wouldn't let me bid. they ended up selling for $300. About a week later I saw the same pair on ebay for $1500! I know they were the same pair as they still had the auction lot # sticker on them. I offered the guy $500 for them, he didn't like that offer too much lol.

That's about right...

There is a higher "risk" when buying at an auction,
because you really don't know what you're getting
or what needs to be repaired. (which is why prices are lower)

When buying from an individual, you can "assume" the game is a least working OK,
and you can probably test it out more thoroughly.

$1000 is a fair price, but nice units with good cosmetics can easily reach $1500/pr.

YMMV....

Thanks. Not sure if I would have the chance to get some at auctions anytime soon. Just think it would be fun to have a couple hooked up so people can play each other. We use to have a blast playing these against other people.

I have a buddy with a dual Daytona setup where one of the monitors needs a recap, he's asking $385 for it.

I guess it depends on how far you are willing to drive for a game. If you can lug some games for other people for a few bucks, it might help offset the cost of a very long drive.

Someone sold a Daytona Twin around here for $5 recently and it was working.

Yes five bucks.

there was a pair in decent shape for sale at Tilt! in the south Puget Sound area for $795... if i had the space i would've seriously considered it. playing against other people on FullThrottle's bank of 4 was a total blast.

You have to be careful with Namco games there is a reason they are selling them and most of the time they are non working. I know a lot of the guys down here in Dalton Namco and they have a lot junk.

I got mine for $700 this past November from an individual, and it is in fine shape and was happy with the price I paid as it is one my all-time favorites. Just hope you don't have to take it apart and move it down to your basement....not fun! On the Namco note, maybe I am unlucky, but I can never get those guys to call me or email me back...

+1

And most of these are beat to SHIT, so using a price guide without seeing good pictures of the game doesn't tell a lot. Those that are in nice shape can usually be sold for some bucks still.
