price check on arcade legends on CL (not mine)

wow, it only has 8 games.

My buddy has the 2nd version which has 80 games on it.

That version (I believe) has "game packs" that can upgrade the amount of games you play on the machine.

I have seen a couple go cheap for $600 or so. My buddy paid $1200. People who have them for sale think they are worth over $2000

I think $600-$1000 is a fair-ish price.

im fairly new to this, none of my machines are like this one.i just text the guy he said for him it would just sit in the garage and collect dust, and it needs someone who would enjoy it.he also says he's not into gaming at all. i dont want to get in over my head but i like the games on it.

Maybe i can be of some help. I have an Ultracade, so I am familiar with the hardware. You can probably get this for a steal and fix it easy. It is my experience that when the battery on the motherboard (which is a 2032 watch style battery) goes out, and mine has done it TWICE, the machine wont boot up. This is almost certainly the issue, and is easily fixed. Once you replace the battery, you will need to fix the BIOS settings (using a keyboard) so that it will "boOt up on power reset" or "wake up on LAN" or whatever needs to be done so that it will auto boot when the power is turned on. The beeping description could also mean that something on the motherboard is not connected properly, as you will typically get a beeping noise to indicate that something is not hooked up right. But the most likely issue is the battery...
