What would you pay for an empty Pac-Man cab? I've never started an arcade project from scratch like this before. How much would you pay for this?

No more than $25-$30.

I paid $50 for mine and it had the bezel and marquee when I bought it, but the sideart was completely unsalvageable.

I'd go $50 if the wood is not damaged...those cabs are plywood and not particle board so they hold up good if there is no water damage or chunks gone. If you can get it for $25 thats a good deal i think...these new cabs people are building are bringing $350 - $400 for replicas made from plywood, why not get the real thing for $50 or less if you can.

If you grab it I have a uncut hardness and the game side transformer. I don't have the AC harness though.

I could probably also scrape up the CP Harness and the coin door hardness

depends on side art. If its good, it's worth more.
Otherwise, the other guys said it... $30 or so.
If the guy thinks it is worth more, he can let it sit there and take up more space.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking along the same line as you all were. He's asking $70.00 for it. I'll offer him $25.00 and see what he says. You never know.

Explain to him why you're offering that -- the lack of the bezel, marquee, back door, etc. -- all of which affect value.

IMO, many people overestimate value out of a lack on information as to their modern-day value, not because they're trying to rip you off/retire on the deal.

I wouldn't go $70 unless the artwork is really nice and there are parts included that aren't shown in the pic (monitor, glass bezel, ect).

I love the Pac series and I love seeing them brought back but you are looking at a lot of cash to get him up and running again. These are just guesses but they may help.

Coin door - (can't really see if it has one) $25 - $50

PCB - $100 to $150

Marquee - approximately $40

Glass bezel - $50

Monitor - $100

Wiring harness - $25

CPO - $40

By my guess work, it could be a minimum of $380 plus the cost of the cabinet, and you may need to build a back door as well or address other concerns. I am all for saving it but be prepared to dump some cash into it. I would grab it but I would certainly try to talk him down to $50 or $25. If he doesn't bite, cite all the stuff you are going to need.
