I know I have had issues with my friends machine but that just might be in my favor. What do you think I should offer him? Or what point when he tells me his price do I walk away or counter? Granted he is living in my house now paying no rent for 2 weeks, and the machine is setup in my house now also. The list is about 1K but with it's issues what do you think a fair price would be?

Actually nothing major except the lights on the backboard being out not by the bulbs, and also the coin door.

how nice is the playfield ? wear? broken plastics?
how nice is the cabinet, backbox, legs ? how is the general appearance ? if its nice and you decide to sell it one day and you fix it up, you might get more than you paid.

does it work 100% ? you said something about the lights can you tell us more?

that matters cause if it needs a new power driver board, new ones are 300 if its a WPC.
not sure if they make new system 11's. you might find a used one but it depends on whats wrong. that matters as to its worth.

i forget how many Dr. Dudes they made. most were System 11 and about 100 are the newer WPC version
which means that pinball machine could have 2 different kinds of electronics running the show.
i like the newer electronics some might like the System 11

good luck and you can read more here:

Also depends on the condition and colors. If it's got nice bright 80's florescent colors, that ups the price. Any wear on the playfield?

Absolutely no wear on the playfield....cabinet is in perfect condition bright and no dings or scratches..the light issue is a connecter that is burnt just need to replace it when we wiggles the wires the lights came back on...lol,...overall i would say it was an 8...backglass is perfect...game plays as it should....so what do you think 1200?
