I have the chance to pick up a Mortal Kombat 3 cab with an Ultimate MK3 board, cab is dedicated MK3 and I would say 8/10 condition. What is the going rate for these? I know they are the more rare of the series... thanks

LMAO, Jon's list is pretty good, but not perfect.

A dedicated MK3 cab is the rarest of the bunch, and a nice one would take $500+ ALL DAY LONG in fully working condition.

Please don't comment on prices if you are just going to refer to Jon's list.. otherwise, show me all the $750 Discs of Trons out there and I'll show you my pocketbook.

$350. Not the most desired of the series. Although I'd think the right collector would pay $500, but those guys are few and far between.

really doesnt matter if its the rarest of the bunch or not......if someone is a die hard mortal kombat fan and they are looking for a mk3 im sure they would pay 500 but their not worth that.....everyone has an opinion....and as far as dont comment if im going to refer to jons list......never said his was perfect but its close......and last time I checked this was a public forum is it not?

This topic came up a few weeks ago also:

The MK series is gaining steam and popularity with the release of MK9 looming in the near future also.

I'll take every dedicated MK3 cab in fully working condition 8/10 that you can deliver to my door for $350.

Most people confuse the entire Mortal Kombat series as being one, and while there are plenty of faded/crapped out MK1's and a shitload of MK2's (not too many left in nice or near mint condition due to conersions), the MK3 cab IS desireable to a collector.

The PCB for UMK3 is also harder to find, and would sell for $125-150, so that puts the dedicated MK3 cab in at $200 in 8 out of 10 condition? no way.

I know why you guys like to crap all over the MK series, I see all the trashed cabs at auctions taking $200 too, but this doesn't mean the entire series is crap.

I paid 300$ for mine , it was dedicated, fully working and about 7/10 shape. Has a really beautiful monitor picture. the side art has a couple names scratched in it other than that I replaced the marquee ,cpo, cpo sides and new tmolding. It looks great now!

I have one and i would not take less than 800.00 for mine if i decided to sell it. I see them go for 800-1000 on ebay. I know people here dont pay those prices but, it took me 2 years to find one and even then it was painted black and I had to restore it. To me mk1 and 3 are the rarest to find and even harder to find in descent shape. Mk2 and mk4 are everywhere and cheap.

I would say more than $350 for sure. I sold my MK4 for $400 and it was not easy, but MK3 is much more desirable. They guy picking up the MK4 wanted my MK3 instead, but I said no way. For a nice shape MK3, I would think $500. I got mine for super cheap and consider myself very lucky. It is the best cabinet of the series to put all the MK boards into because it has the run button already there.
