What would be a fair price for one of these in a decent but not beautiful cabinet in good working condition? Opinions?

Trying to decide how much work to put into this thing....

I've seen nice ones go for anywhere between $175 and $500-600.

great game, nice cab, lots of fun.

i'd say 300-600 is a good range.

Worked at Babbage's in the mall when NBA Jam was converted to Genesis and SNES. Everyone wanted an NBA JAMS "tape."

The manager at the time also had a problem with people looking for "little merhole" "tapes." His words.

I never personally got over that whole Jam(s) thing myself. And people wanting to buy Intendo Tapes.:004_smad:

Damn it. JAM. Get it right. ;)

Then if this...it WOULD BE NBA JAMS! So you're saying it's possible!

NBA Jam isn't more than a $400 game IMO. I've owned 3 in the past, and have never paid that.

They aren't rare?

i agree with this, but i've seen people pay 600+ just because they loved the game.

as for rarity, i don't believe regular NBA Jam cabs are that rare, but good condition/mint TE cabs tend to be hard to find.

The damn non TE instruction card seems to be illusive i must say.

Price is based on the condition of the cab. Your typical motherboard and sound board board sells for 75 (50 dollar KLOV price lol).

Cabs condition is important because the side art and the CPO are not easy to find. The rest can be fixed or replace relatively cheaply.

Well I don't have room for it since it's a big cab. And I need to get it out of here fairly quickly since we have a bunch of people staying here soon. I'm hoping the only issue is the monitor. I can hear it play blind. I just don't want to pour $150 into it just to find out it's not worth $150 more than it is broken.

PCBs have sold in the $45 range around here for as long as I can remember. No NBA Jam stuff (save for the TE v1.0 PCBs) is high $$$.

Can I tell by looking at the board which one is is? If so, where would I look? On the roms?

The ROMS should be labeled.

Post a pic too, if you want.

Just looked and the roms are labeled but not with a version number. Just a year. There's other labels on the game but nothing I can see that shows the rom revision number.
