Hey all, parting out some of the internals from my Interstellar Laser Fantasy laserdisc cabinet, as it's in the process of becoming a dedicated Daphne machine (I dont have the ld or player, so figured I'd make the best of what I do have)...

I've got a buyer for the monitor, video boards (it has a non-standard chassis and an additional overlay graphics board), sound board, etc — basically everything but the actual game PCBs, which he already has.

I'm trying to come up with a fair price, but I have absolutely no idea what to charge... anyone have an idea of the going rate for Funai internals?

(also, if anyone needs the actual game PCB, lemme know)

I'm interested in the main PCB and anything else you have left for it that's not spoken for or that ur keepin! My email is [email protected]

Just FYI interesteller is not a very desirable game, complete games fetch 200-300 in this market and that's with a good player and disc, hope this helps.

It was HUO and in perfect condition, u can't compare the 2! If u think its worth 800.00 right on but its not, I don't really care I know what I've seen them sell for and what I've payed for both of mine complete and working and one came off ebay when all lasers drew big money yrs ago. You know ebay carlos one sells for 800 and the next one sells for 200! I've seen time traveler go for 375.00 and a week later another one went for 1800.00 does that mean its worth 2000.00? My opinion the monitor and all the boards are worth 100.00. The main board 50.00, the marquee 20.00 the player working 50.00n the disc no laser rot 50-75, the cp depending on condition maybe 50-75 the empty cab 50.00 that's a total of 370.00 now remove the player and disc and you get 270-300 that's how I came up with my price. .

yeah i know you know it all. all hail the mighty laser king!!!. and by the way i think you would never let your stuff go for what you implied in the last thread. joe!!!

Don't be hater! Years and years of collecting, its called market value and the going rate at certain times, if I bought something at a high price during a expensive time to buy parts I'm not gonna sell it at a down time a lose money? My deals that I've done have been for a lot of money having to purchase a lot at one time, all that was asked was value, you always gotta give your judgemental negative two cents towards me. I'm sorry this thread got hijacked by FatChuck(Carlos) hatred and distain towards me. Don't you have a Us vs Them or cobra command or super don to work on? Get a life and leave me alone!

First off, Joe is not the laser king. I am. :) And I agree with Joe 100%. The game is not desirable. Probably in the top 3 of worst laser disc games.

Not only are you the Laser King but you are also the Fearless Leader, thanks for agreeing Jeff! That dude Carlos just has it out fo me and always hijacks laser threads that I respond to just to slam me! He is a very angey person. Hope all is well with you. Talk to you soon.

Hahah, thanks for the info guys!

I really dig the Tangerine Dream style music, the theme, and the visuals of Interstellar, but yeah, I wouldn't rank it up there with the best as far as gameplay goes.

acejedi, I'll letcha know once I find out what's gonna be left.

Thanks Driph keep me posted on parts leftover, I kinda like intersteller too but I like mid 1980s chessy movies and laser games, I don't know of a sequal to intersteller, Funai did one other laser called eshs aurnimilla but I don't think its a sequal, we only know of I think 3 tha exisit and they are all intersteller conversions, nobody has ever seen side art for eshs!

Was there a sequel to Interstellar? I swear I some screen shots in an Electronic games magazine........

From what I've been able to gather, there was originally supposed to be a trilogy of laserdisc games in the series, but that never panned out.

Here's a flyer for Interstellar Zangus, not sure if it even left prototype? I wonder if there are any discs floating around somewhere...
