Kits sell for a lot but I put that in the category of any parted game selling for more than a complete one.
That's makes ZERO sense.
Actually it makes complete sense if you follow complete game sales vs part sales. I can confirm for sure that in certain areas asteroids machines in average physical condition and working regularly sold for $100-150. The monitor alone could sell for that and the board could sell for $100-150 and then there are the cp, coin door etc.
I guess the difference is that you are either in this hobby to collect and enjoy the games or to make a profit. Someone who wants to collect and preserve the games will not part them and therefore will sell the game for less than the value of the parts to keep it complete.
With extremely few exceptions there are almost no games that are worth more whole than in parts.
For what it's worth when the market was better I bought my temple of doom for around $300. It's in very nice condition. Even at that time the kits sold in the $250 range.
How much for an Atari Indy in decent condition in original cabinet?
Thanks.
You selling one? Would like to have one.
