Price Check: HUO Popeye

I've got a nice restored Popeye and I would value it at about $700. HUO to me is meaningless. It's either in really nice shape or it's not. Is the side art 100%? Is the CPO 100%? Are the cab edges free of fraying and gouges? Does the coin door look clean and black and is it all there? How does the monitor look? Has the cab been 'touched up' with an off color paint? If it is truly in 9/10 condition, I'd still pay no more than $5-600 for it, if I was really looking.

Ditto this.

Per the game: I like Popeye, but it never seems to be in enormous demand. if I had room and had a chance to buy a pristine example, and had already gotten most of the rest of my "wants", I'd shell out $400 - $500.

poor unloved Popeye - Miyamoto's TRUE love

I agree with almost all of what the above posts have stated.

_BUT_

Everyone knows you can buy up a Popeye kit for $100-150 (even less typically), and then mint up and restore any old Nintendo cab, and be into a minty fresh Popeye for under 3 bills.

If you can get $500 - take the money and run!
