Been debating on getting rid of this one. Just never play it at all and I'd like to replace the space with a vector.

Counter says 2300 some odd plays but it doesn't even have any coin scratches on the door. Guy I got it from was tripping the wire and didn't even realize the test switch gave credits. I put a HS save kit in and capped the monitor. I think I replaced the marquee light too. The stickers are all original including the ones on the coin door.

That machine looks beautiful. $400-$600 would be the range I'd place on it.

BTW, as a buyer I place no value on "HUO". I only care about the condition of the machine, and HUO is no guarantee of a better condition. So for me, anyhow, it's a meaningless term.

If I were to have a DKJR in my collection, though, it'd be one in the condition yours is in.

I think that price is too low. Around here, one's in beat up condition can sell for $500. I think if you hold out for the right buyer you can get $1,000+

I agree

Hmm - could be.

DKJR isn't an uncommon machine, though. In that condition, he very well might be able to fetch a grand, but he might be sitting on it for awhile while cheaper DKJRs in lesser shape trade hands. Might just be a matter of how long he wants to wait...

Exactly, will depend on finding the right buyer at the right time.

well around here DK Jr sells for $350 .

I'd say $700 at the most $800 .

and selling it to me $50 , I'll pick it up right now ........

There are too many regional factors to really say for sure... I had a freshly capped MINT DKJR that just needed sideart that I couldn't sell for $300 in Florida. Had it on craigslist for a long time, ended up trading it for another game...

I think you're closer to the mark for California pricing.

Just because someone doesnt care about "huo" doesnt mean someone else wouldnt pay more :) I bought 3 donkey kong jr's with super low play (around 1000-1500) on each from a warehouse years ago and sold them for $800 each. DK JR's usually fetch $350-$450 on average, but the the condition/huo gives it more value.

I getcha, but my point is that HUO doesn't always mean better condition than something which isn't HUO, so it's kind of useless as a term in this hobby. Even in your post, above, you had to further qualify "huo" with "condition / ". ;)

Got pretty lucky and nabbed it for 3 bills a couple years ago. The seller wasn't all that thrilled about that price. Ha!
He also had a couple other games that were really nice but we could not agree on a price. I was expecting this one to maybe go for around $800 if I decided to sell it. Looks like that is in agreement with others here. Still not sure if I should sell it. Every time I sell a game I end up missing it for one reason or another.

very nice.. what did you buy it for if you don't mind the ask?

The term is useless when people throw it around like they do here sometimes with machines that are obviously not HUO. I know condition is everything and in this case the machine essentially sat in this guys garage from when it was new until 30 years later. Obviously it was used since it needed a cap kit but this was never on location. Of course there are machines like the CA Robinson back shed games that were neither HUO or even used yet they suffered damage from the elements. The point I am making is that this game is actually HUO and I am not adding that term to somehow boost the price or give an impression of the condition it is simply a statement of fact about the game. As far as condition is concerned the pictures speak for themselves.

A lot of people just throw "HUO" around because the game is clean. I only had a small number of real HUO machines, but they do bring a lot of money. I sold my huo star wars upright for around $2500, $1500 for my Qix, Pacman and Pole Position for around $800-$1000 each.

Pics please or it doesn't exist ;) heh I'll second or thirdyhe estimate of $800- $1k+ if it's super minty and the right buyer comes along. I love dk jr.

@exidy: had a couple friends over new years and volfied was among the games we played. Still can't thank ya enough for hooking me up, man.

BTW I've seen this machine and it's beautiful. I'm tempted but it's definitely worth $800 and I'm a cheap ass so I probably wouldn't pony up the cash.
