I have a chance to buy a HD LA riders vid with the full sit down bike. Machine seems to be in good physical condition and works. The rear projection screen works but is a little dim. What is the demand for these machines and what should the price be. It seems that most things Harley command a premium price. I'm not so interested in the machine for my arcade as it is HUGE; but will try and flip it if the price is right.

I'd say if you wanted to flip that game you'd better get it in your truck for $400.

Street value around here is between $700-1000 depending on the condition and monitor status.

a repair customer of mine happily paid $1800 for one of of feebay and paid oodles of money to ship it too.. I dont know man, personally im a cheap bastard, if the monitors dim it may be adjusted out and cleaned, it may be failing..

the big downfall is that nobody repairs those, to the only other option is to pray you find a tv that works with those inputs, or install a flat screen conversion($1000 from happ)

what can you get it for? if its $500 of less your in good shape, any more than that if the monitor goes you are screwed..

I'll be in it for right around $400. There are two but one has some minor cosmetic issues. My biggest concern has been the monitor. I have not worked on a rear projection in a vid and have no idea about cost and avaliability of parts.

I see them around here on Craigslist all the time for around $500 or less.

Here's one:

Yes, it's a monitor version not the projection version, but I think one of these with a dim projection monitor would be worth less. The one you are thinking about may just need a cleaning but given the age of the machine, that's iffy. The projection version is ridiculously big and heavy and with a dim monitor that is not easy to repair or replace, I would not pay anywhere near $500 for it, even if I was interested in the game.

Cab was clean and in a no smoke environment. Seller was stuck on $400. Maybe this will be a pass. The machine is HUGE!!!! It looks like it breaks down into three pieces, each being big and heavy. I'll just feel around for interest in the machine first. That thing would take a huge amount of shop space if I had to sit on it for while. Right now the shop is full and spilling over into other needed space. Too many 3/4 finished projects. My deticated storage space is getting full also. I have a NEO and three dig dugs coming in and need every ounce of space.

Robotron, That one is the 1/2 bike. The one I'm looking at is twice the size and has a full motorcycle to sit on.

Oops, my bad.

I suppose the smaller one would also appeal to space challenged Harley enthusiasts.
