Price Check Galaga cabaret + Mr. Do!

How much would a Galaga cabaret and Mr Do cocktail run?

A "Mr. Do!" cocktail could be almost anything, since it was a common conversion. Hard to say.

Galaga cabaret? I'd say the price on this one really depends on condition, as so many of them are beat up. $300 - $800. I'd pay good $$ for one in excellent original shape (not restored shape).

So Mr. Do's were pretty common cocktail conversion huh?
Yeah, I don't know the shape of the Galaga. But $300 - 800 sounds about what I thought.
Anyone else opinions?

Mr Dos were common conversions, but they also came in dedicated URs and CTs. I had a dedicated CT that I sold a few years back for $300. It was original in decent shape, but the glass was mint. IIRC, it had a 19" monitor too.

Quit checking CL my friend. I've been talking to the seller as well ;)

You mean this Galaga Cabaret? Yes, he still had it 3 months later. Needs a new cpo (twobits has them) and the joystick is a little loose but the cab is solid, side/wood laminate is 8 out of 10. And the monitor is freaking beautiful. Looks new with no burn and nice bright colors. I'll probably just clean her up a bit, tighten up that joystick, and do a light sanding & re-paint on the bezel retainer as it's a little scratched up. So yeah... just wanted to show off a bit... I'm stoked. Serial # 602!

Great find! How much did you pay for it?

I paid $300 for it. As I told Jim (YODAinMN) it's a touch more than I would have liked to have spent on it but the fact that it was a 10 minute drive to pick it up instead of my regular hour and a half to two hour drive made the decision very easy for me. Get it cleaned up and a new CPO and I think it'll be well worth the money. I'm a huge Galaga fan so this fits in my "only buying games in my top 5" rule.

Oh, and he still has the Mr. Do cocktail for sale. The monitor is "rolling" which he believes is just a sync issue. He's a long-time collector, used to work on a route for like 10 years, so he was a fun guy to talk to. He has a nice working Captain Fantastic pin down in his gameroom as well as a beautiful Eight Ball Deluxe which he is restoring and just finished rebuilding the playfield as he installed a new repro playfield in the cab. He also had this great old EM game called Skill Roll (Bally 1956) that you drop a nickel in and hit a flipper on either side of the game to try to shoot it into different point hole all the way down. Almost like an early version of ICB but the coin is going down instead of up on the bar. I want one! :) The Mr. Do is $75 for anyone that's interested. It's in his shed so if you needed him to hold it for a minute until you can get out here he'd probably have no problem with it.
