I was wondering what would be a decent price for a complete williams '78 topaz shuffle alley in nonworking condition. Also, are these easy to work on?

I'm thinking that one is a SS. Do some research There was one year williams used a funky cpu system on the SS shuffle alley and parts are hard to get.

If it is a EM machine I would jump all over this thing and I really don't need another project. I just don't see how you could go wrong for that amount of money. that being said, they can be a pain to work on, but if you use common sense it is really no more of a challenge to repair than a pin. If you have the room, I say go for it! Good luck
BTW took the family out for supper last week and spent nearly that much for the meal.

The price is not the issue, its the space. I already have a 13' ball bowler, so its not a need of a bowler type game either. It just looked like a good, cheap project to toy with.

In case you havn't decided yet, per marvin, the Topaz was United's first solid state game. 1978.
