A co-worker has a F14 Tomcat that he's looking to sell, it's in pretty decent shape but needs a decent playfield cleaning (not a bid deal to me). He's looking for $700- is that a good, average, or bad price for this pin?

Thanks!

Mr Pinball 2010 Price Guide says $1050 and that would be in pretty good shape, not much to do to it other than minor cleaning.

PinPedia says eBay average price is $694 total (average over lat year is $889)

Boston Pinball says average price is $849 (six month average is $800)

Craigslist in Lewisville TX (not sure where that is in relation to you) had one for $399 but was a project pin.

The $700 asking price seems to be in line. If you are really interested you should give it a good once over and if you're comfortable with any/all of its issues then go for it.

Good luck!

$700 is a good price! Around 5yrs ago, I 'restored' one, by stripping the mylar, touchup, insert decals, automotive clearcoat, all new bulbs, flipper rebuilds, a couple of displays, cosmetic work, rubber, and other crap, and sold it for $1500 on Ebay.

just did the same thing to mine, wasnt sure it was going to be worth it,but now that its done there is no way i would sell it,what an awesome game, and i own rbion, totan, tom,ft,shadow etc etc,i would definately pay 700.00.i figured it cost me around 1200.00 to restore the game, not to mention lots of hours of labor
