I was curious what people's thoughts were as to the value these days for untested (so might not be working) but complete Bubbles and Blaster games in Duramold cabinets.

Also, what is the collector interest in an empty Duramold cabinet these days?

Interesting... I passed on some years ago, then decided for the past few years I wanted a set, then more recently was interested but less so, and now someone (not on these forums) have offered me set.

Greg,

Very good question I would say...and probably very difficult to know given the state of our economy in general these days :) .

Duramolds were once quite the darlings to own, but they don't seem to curry the generous prices they once did, IMHO (of course, that could be said of many classic vids these days :) ). But I'd also say that the interest is eclectic in the sense that the collectors that do want them are passionate but less in number.

I'd be cautious to give a price these days. I sold a Blaster Duramold several years ago for $900. It worked fine, but the CP and marquee were repros so that took the value down some. But again, this was around 7-8 years ago I'd say.

I don't know...maybe $1000-$1200 for a decent Blaster Duramold, and a little less for the Bubbles (although I think Bubbles is more rare...it's just that the game itself is less wanted (even though it's an extremely underrated game, again IMHO...I love my standard upright :D )) .

I'll let others chime in as the above is just my feelings...I could be way off base here and I freely admit that...others may be more savvy on the values of these 2 games than I ...

Thanks.. I just didn't want to pay $750-$1000 each if no one cared anymore and they really were $500 now. If I was more excited (like I used to be), I wouldn't care about a few potentially extra $. [Now a nice War of the Worlds....]

I certainly don't know, but if you happen to come back up to Portland again and don't intend to keep the Bubbles, my wife wants one! Duramold isn't a must have for me, but they are cool so I wouldn't complain about it. :)

The duramolds still carry a signifficant price to a collector. There are not many around, they are hard to find parts for. If they are in good shape, I would easily say they're worth about $1000+

This is only my opinion. I have not owned one in over 15 years.

If one would come up locally, since I'm not looking for one right now, I would most likely still purchase, just for old times sake... :D

Are you buying them or selling them?
