What is the going rate for a nice Dedicated Double Dragon? The front PCB lock has the wood busted out, but other than that its in great shape.

I paid 250 for mine, but it needed monitor work and the pcb had issues, luckily I had a spare pcb. I should have talked him down, but I figured the dude was a nice guy and delivered for gas. I'd say 300-400 is about right depending on condition.

Selling to collectors/KLOV: Average condition needing the usual clean up, 150-250 range seems fair. 300-ish the condition pre-requisite goes up. 400 it would have to be...like...really nice IMO.

Cue someone posting in this thread claiming they'd pay 800-1000 bucks for a DD, because they put 400 into theirs so it must be worth twice that. ;)

Selling to CL/Ebay: Probably higher than what I said. Cue a retail sales person schooling us all on the "real" value being something astronomical.

Your DD came out awesome btw. Unless I am mixing you up with someone else (lit buttons right?).

I've had mine for sale for $300 and it's in awesome shape with no bites. It's still for sale btw. New capped monitor, new t molding, new repro bezel, nos marquee. Etc.

sometimes i think it would be nice to live in the states where you have ample cheap games. I like DD and I would pay 500 for one that was nice and i could just put into the collection with no work needed.

dd

it has close to no value wholesale
retail in reno area would be maybe 100
its only use is parts or make a multi neo geo or multi wms

I would deliver any game you want for a place to crash in Nova Scotia. I go to Cape Chignecto every year! One day I hope to own a home there.

Yeah that was mine. Sold it for $450. The lit buttons rocked.

I had been looking for pretty much the last 2 years for good deals on DD cabs. I had passed on many $300 cabs cause they had issues still at that price. (raw sides of peeling sides etc)

Now I am currently in ownership of 2 cabs and here's what I have paid after all was said and done.

$75 for first converted cab but with good sides and a different game inside. (stored not working yet)
$120 from a KLOVr for all of the kit parts to put the first cab back together. Board, CP, harness and all removable art. (bezel was wrong)
$40 ebay bezel that can be flipped for generic Taito game.
$60 for a 2nd DD cab but with a dead board.

I see DD boards all the time for about $60

I had to bring together 2 separate pairs switched Wico sticks to restore 2 control panels to nice stock parts condition for my 2 cabs. I was even able to donate a pair to Esseyo's DD.

At the average of $150 per cab with some work I was able to get one dressed working DD cab and one matched Taito cab for my Cadash/Growl and soon to be Taito G-net board setup.

It's taken about 2 years of watching, waiting and dumb luck to get where I'm at. IMHO after watching every single DD cab sold in the CA area CL and Ebay.... my best guess of pricing is

$100 or under for a cab that's blind or dead.
$150 for a basic working cab with small easy to fix issues.
$200 if it's in good condition.
$300 if it has no issues what so ever and is 100% fully working.

Someone will pay top dollar for a Phet restoration cause overall it'll look nice. I will point out that you are missing the Wico dust covers on your restore Phet! LOL

I've seen over a dozen cabs sold over the last 2 years in my area and I finally settled on 2 of the alternative color types. I nice EBAY one sold out of Sacramento for $150 early 2010

Yes get one. They are wonderful cabs to have in a JAMMA collection.

1) it's a nice elegant and comfortable cab to play on. It's not too short and has a standard K7000 19" monitor. Better than a JAMMA conversion of a Taito Stencil cab.
2) JAMMA and rotatable monitor. (under 10 mins to flip that puppy)
3) The front PCB tray is just awesome for using this as your easy access switching game machine.
4) who hasn't fallen in love with playing COOP with a buddy and getting to the end to duel double elbow fighting for that bat situation.

The only drawback is that the butons setup is 3, 2, 1 instead of 1, 2, 3 so that swaping boards would be super easy. I'm thinking about putting in a toggle switch for the CP and running wires all the way down to my Tray for this.

I will point out that Superman also came in the same cab but FULLY dressed. (horrible game) They are more rare and the two I've seen for sale had asking prices in the $500 range. I never confirmed what they sold at. I see them sit for $300 but usually sell closer to $200 fairly quickly.

My question for DD owners is ... At only 240 pix wide that the game runs at, do you max out your Width coil so that when you swap games you have to turn it all the way back down?
