I'm checking out a DK JR in a few days. It's been in service until very recently so I don't know the condition but the original price stated was $600. I won't pay $600. I'm thinking no more than $250-$300. Is that reasonable, assuming it works when I get there?

I paid 600$ for my first DK machine, but everyone always pays the most for their first machine. I think it was in good enough condition. I'd just check it out first, see what of it is all original and what has been replaced and if the cabinet is beat up.

I still wouldn't go much over 400$.

If it's working and in good physical condition,I wouldn't go over $300.
If it's working but beat up,probably $200-$250.
If it's not working but in good shape. $150.
Both beat up and not working. $100

I personally wouldn't pay more than $300 for any game. I'd rather wait it out for a better deal to come along.

Edit: Specifically for a DKjr (which I'd like to own one) I would pay $100 for a nice one.

I just sold a very nice DK UR in the bay area for $700... It was a 9.

I have a very nice DKJR cocktail for $475.. its also a 9. Both were home owned since the early 90's. I don't think you will find a nicer one..

I have had several people ask me to convert DKJR to DK, but it would make more sense to do it double DK.. Figure +$125 to add DK pcb or +$200 to convert DKjr to double DK. DKJR cocktail uses a 2 board, so there is room to insert a standard DK pcb. DK CT uses a 4 board.. Dkjr CT uses a 19" monitor.

I picked up my DJ jr last weekend for $150. Played blind, and the cabinet was a bit beat up (of course, that's extremely subjective).
I did a cap kit on the monitor, and it's 100% functional. sounds great, looks great, coin mech's work, etc.
I also got a response from a guy on my WTB ad who said he wanted to sell. His cabinet was also a bit beat up. No coin mechs at all, no side art at all. played perfectly. it was EXTREMELY dirty. It didn't look like he even bothered to wipe it down before taking pictures.
I told him I'd give him the same $150 that I gave for the last one.
He simply said no thanks, he was looking to get $600 or $700 for it!
LOL
