Price Check... DK cabaret????

There was a guy from CT who had one for sale here and on eBay for quite a while.
I believe he sold it for somewhere between $250 -$500...it took him quite a while though.

They're fugly and have ZERO charm...unlike the uprights.

Not much, I know, but that's the best I can give ya' ;)

Unfortunately, the Nintendo Donkey Kong Flyer doesn't agree with you.

DK Flyer

Don't see too many of them. I wouldn't call it rare, but not usually that desirable IMO.

Damn, they do exist. Last thing I saw called a DK cabaret was some little piece of crap that somebody made and called it a cabaret. It was about half the size of the one shown in the flyer.

I have seen several. They exist.
Happy Veterans Day, by the way!

Never seen one in the wild.

Thx.

Id buy one in a heart beat if there was one ever close to me. They all seem to pop up over 1000 miles away and dont feel like having to ship one right now. Im sure thats the only way ill ever be able to get one tho.

Paid around $900 for mine, and haven't regretted it for a second.

Not getting pried out of my cold, dead hands. ;)

Love mine as well. It was/is a conversion (I re-added DK) and I've always had an itch to apply red vinyl and miniaturized sideart when I "restore" it fully. Not that they ever came that way, but hot damn it's sexy in my head. (Fullsize sideart fits but mocks up kind of wonky.)

As for price, I've seen them for $400-600, and they are indeed usually a tough sell. To me, $600 for a mint one is fair, since it'll cost you ~$500 to build one from the ground up; considering original power, monitor, wiring, 4-board, etc. You have to WANT a mini though, because you can buy or build the same in an upright for the same or less... I'd be hard pressed to choose between my two, but vinyl and art would completely tip the scale.

I kinda like that idea. I won't do it to mine, but that could look really cool.

Of all the cabaret machines I have, the smaller monitor on the DK makes the least amount of difference re: gameplay between the mini and the UR (in my opinion).

Mark - Please do not start fights with KLOV users. If you do not like a user, put them on ignore. If you do not have anything nice, don't post. Every time you do this a person retaliates and you automatically report them. Not nice. Klumpy

Klumpy: Why don't you ever say anything to the dumbfucks who consistently post WRONG info, and stay the fuck out of my posts.

This place desperately needs technical moderation, since none of the moderators know jack shit about games.

There was a really nice one for sale a couple years ago around here for $500. I passed on it and ended up getting an very nice UR for less. I like cabarets in certain cases like my BZ but I generally prefer the 19" monitor.

a 7 second google search yielded this:

I personally do not care for the style. Of course I wouldn't kick it out of the arcade either.
