I have a lead on one of the last machines on my want list, Funhouse. It is described as having one small wear spot (havent seen the machine yet, so I dont know where that is) and needing a new center ramp. Machine was also mid-shop out and the playfield has been disassembled but all parts are accounted for. Seller says he also has a Rudy rebuild kit to include with it. This is a keeper for me, but I don't want to overpay. What is the going rate on a DP Funhouse?

Is the wear near one of the pop bumpers (I think it's the blue one)? That always seems to be the spot. I'm curious to hear opinions on the value too. I've been contemplating selling my FH though mine is not DP.

Last one I sold was in similar condition for $5,000. Not too many DPs around and it was a prototype.
Do you have pix? Could be a prototype as well. Look for an extruded start button and wider side rails.

For a Diamond plate, maybe 2500. For a regular unshopped, I'd only go 1500. Although other markets may vary. Now, for a machine that's in the middle of a tear down that you didn't do, I'd say the price would be closer to that 1500 range unless your really good a shopping pins and putting puzzles back together....but that's just my opinion. I'm sure others will say its 3500+ if its a dollar....

No, the prototypes do NOT have the extruded start buttons but the approx 200 sample games do. Most people who own a 'sample' FH with the diamond plate playfield incorrectly call their game a 'prototype'. The proto FH (less than 15 were made) have the STEPS playfield and not the STEP playfield that the sample and production games do. The prototypes have a different playfield, do not say 'Williams' on the cabinet, and some different plastics.

Here are the differences: http://www.flippers.be/funhouse_prototype_guide.html

Here are pictures of a REAL prototype FH (I actually had serial #2): http://www.hsapinball.com/HSA_PINBALL/Proto_Funhouse.html

DOH! Yes I meant "sample" it's been a few years since I was in the pinball world.
