The bezel is available as a repro, so it'd easily be a complete game. It'd go for around $400 near me.

I get there...he wants a grand...i said it aint gonna happen...i turn it on...rug pattern....he said its becuase the batteries are dead on it..im like "uh huh"...i offered $300...he said nothing less than $700...i went up to $400...he goes " you want to buy it or not?"...i said for $400 i'll take it.....needless to say i went home empty handed....oh..the cpo was hacked up..plastic strips scewed into the top of cp on each side.

That sucks. I looked for a stainless door Defender for a long time and the guy who had it was also way high on it, like on of those "They're $2000 on eBay" dudes. I wasn't rude about it, just made him an offer and told him I wouldn't jerk him around if he called.

I guess after 2 weeks of tire kickers and no-shows he finally gave up and called me. I actually felt like I overpaid for it a bit ($450), but it was a really solid original machine. I see you have Stargate and Sinistar, so I'm sure you know you can move a Williams machine 6 inches and wind up with resets and rug patters because of those flaky ribbon cables!

I am sure you can wait him out and he would do $400 for a non working defender that needs a new CP overlay and bezel. Personally, I think $250-$300 is more reasonable, If you plan to jrok it, then non working pcb is not that big of a deal, but if your going for 100% original, then that could be a toasted boardset in there..

Now if you looked inside and saw that one or two of the linear PS lights were out, then you might have an easy fix.

Unfortunately, no one much wants a Defender machine.
If he had a midway Pacman cab, he'd probably get his price.

The silver coin door is neat history, but only to someone who knows why it is unique history, and then they have to find it interesting which is even further down the rabbit hole.....
