Very nice working example. The cab is in awesome shape.

Monitor is nice.. it works and has all orginal equipment, cinematronics coin door.

Other than missing sideart it is an awesome example of the game.

Do you think it would be good trade foder for a star wars cockpit?

A working Cockpit is worth more even if it doesn't have an amp....

Really? I thought the dedicated space ace cabs were worth a few bucks to the laser collectors. A star wars cockpit in decent working shape without the 25" amp would be a fair trade for a fully working, nice shape dedicated SA, imho.

I think these Space Ace machines are still getting around $1,500 or so. I don't know what the cockpit SW's go for, though.

By the way, it's better to call this style Space Ace cabinet an "Inverted Space Ace" because the term "dedicated" could also mean a Dragon's Lair style cabinet as well.

He has the true dedicated Space ace and its really nice

sa vrs sw

Laser fans and sw fans are 2 different breeds space ace dedicated has only recently become more desirable (slightly) but not even close to a good sw cockpit.
Now a stern clifhanger you might have more of a shot but not with most arcade guys
there is no where near as much love for space ace as star wars.

While I like my space ace and it is a very nice looking addition, it gets no love, and even I don't really enjoy the play.

I got the game very reasonable and was lucky the repair was very minimal. Now that I have owned it for a few months it just seems like someone else should be appreciating it.

It was a great find and I couldn't pass it up; I apparently am more of a SW guy than a LD guy. Its a cool game I remember playing it as a kid, but most of all I remember how bad I was at it. Starwars was another story... Loved that game. Sold my upright wish I had waited until I got a cockpit now.

Lol, I have my SA & Star Wars set right next to each other.

I agree, other than myself, SA gets no play. Hell even the munchkins that come over can play the Star Wars pretty good.

I say keep the SW, unless you REALLY REALLY love SA or Don Bluth Animation.
