was taking a look around the warehouse and found one of these hiding in the corner. anyone see one before, I am guessing 60's??? it looks fun I want to dig it out and play with it. it's electric darts. I need an estimate of what it might be worth so i can buy it from my boss.... maybe.

i dont think its worth much. i repaired and played one once. its kind of fun, more fun with two people. it is supposed to have two remote controls for the players. most of them have been lost or broken, and controls on long cords have been wired in. you push a button to start the arm movement. push the button again to release the dart from the hand . then it sails toward the target. if you miss, it will tell you if you released too early or too late. thats kinda cool. if you have the wall space, go for it, at least it wont eat up game room floor space . if it was in nice shape, worked well, and i really wanted it, i might pay 150 bucks. maybe 50 more if it had the orig working remotes. unknown, not working, no way more than 25-50 bucks. you can get paperwork for it from john robertson at flippers.com . i dont remember if it had sound or not, i dont think it did. let us know if you get it, and how it works out for you. maybe video it and put it up on youtube, there are none there. i wish i did that when i had the game to repair. ps- its from the mid 70's

One complete and working just ended on eBay- It had a $275 Buy it now or best offer on it but I don't think there were any takers. I agree with Pinnut, cool due to just taking up some wall space, but I wouldn't spend much on one. Would make nice wall art in a retro gameroom!
Good luck.

We have one in our basement. My girlfriend paid about 250 for it at a local antique store. We think it is a great match to our pinball (Torch), dart machine(Arachnid 4500) and an air hockey table. Who does not like a little variety?
It works just fine. It is just as much a piece of art as it is a game. The remote is an option that we do not have. Our's has two pendants that have two buttons each. One is for credits and to start the game and the other is for player 1 and 2. You hold the button for a desired time and then release it hoping to hit the bullseye.
It all depends on if it works and what your skills are in repairing it. If you get it, I can try to help out if you have any questions.

Your comments are right on target. The first being that variety in an arcade collection is important. The second that these games are a work of art. Many don't view them that way. I'm disinterested in the late model electronic pins for this reason.

I'm of age at the cusp where EM was on it's way out and the electronic age began. Our collections are a piece of americana. Maybe others have noticed that prices are going up in our hobby I believe that this has to do with reality shows that educate "to some degree" our society.

A wall game is something I don't have in my current collection but one I'll seek out in the future they are very cool and great discussion pieces!

I have a very nice one... almost like new... We enjoy it. Super retro looking.
Anyway, I don't know where people are getting these $50 prices from. If you can get a complete wall game for $50 you should buy those all day long. There are too many of these in the world any longer.
They are large, fragile (by comparison to vids and pins), heavy and not as 'thrilling' as newer stuff so they haven't fared well over the years.

I wouldn't sell mine for less than $400 or so... obviously none of the previous posters think that's a fair price so I suppose it's a good thing that I plan on keeping it. ;-)

I wouldn't put much stock in the ebay auction results either. Because of the aforementioned charateristics of these things I would be willing to bet the auction was 'pick up only', no shipping, which will really limit the potential buyer pool.

get it as cheap as you can... but get it.
