What's a really nice one is worth? Supposedly the playfield is near mint and it functions 100%.

The rub is that this guy wants 2 of my Rush The Rocks for it. But the original deal was 2 of my RTRs for his Revenge From Mars, which I certainly wanted. Just so happens that he received an offer for it he couldn't refuse, so he's offering me this pin instead.

Bottom line: is this pin, in nice condition, worth a grand? have never even seen one..

Thanx!

Books for 1125 in last years mr. pinball guide if that helps? Look it up on ipdb.org if you want to know more about it its very helpful!

Would way rather have had RfM personally. The backglass on Game Show is the stuff nightmares are made of. Even pacman has nightmares of that dude's horse teeth lol.

I sold mine unshopped and dirty for $500. It's fun but boring after a while. When I sold mine I saw a couple on eBay sell for $800ish.

I would say between those two numbers.

Check pinpedia.com.

Id say its an even trade money wise, but if you could get the rfm thats a killer deal!

Yea that's the first thing I did when he mentioned it; went to the pinball data base and checked the pics, ratings, etc. Seems that it is rather simple, with a lack of a deep rule set. That said, I do enjoy EM pins.

And without a doubt, I really wanted the RFM :004_scry:

did you have a deal with the guy for rfm? if so then he is doing a bait and switch.if that is the case then i would decline the offer and let him know why you are declining the offer. i have not played game show,i have played rfm and if the deal was for that pin than i would pass.

I had a "deal" for the RFM so to speak, as it was, (him) "Hey how about 2 of your RTRs for our RFM"? It was the same RFM that I used to play at Jillians, so I was stoked, and said sure! Well a month or so has passed, and now the RFM is gone.

I figure that my Rush The Rocks are worth $500.00 a piece. While they aren't in the greatest cosmetic shape, I have absolutely fixed every mechanical aspect on all 4 machines so that when peeps come to race, we can, with no hiccups.

It's a decent pin - and if it's truly mint, you could probably get $800 to $1000 for it from the right buyer.

But - it does get pretty easy, pretty quickly. Good audio, good light show - music might grate on you after a while, but can be a pretty fast/fun pin if set up correctly.

Main issue is lack of depth, and it gets pretty easy to get the jackpot over and over. You can only make that ramp shot so many times before you start falling asleep.

Still, it's a nice theme that I feel was executed well - family friendly, and it's fun - no steal if you're valuing your pair of RTR's at $500 each though...

Game Show is a tough piece to resell in any condition. I had a tough time gettting 800 for the last one I had. I'd pass, unless you really tired of your Rushs, and the other guy moves them.

Frankly, I'd be peed off to no end if I had a deal for an RFM like that, and the other guy nixed it and replaced it in the deal with Game Show. That's like being promised sex with JLo, you show up to commence the act, and Nell Carter is there instead.

Get it?

In no way am I tired of my Rush The Rocks, though wouldn't mind a pair of 2049's ;) But I would like another pin - a "good" pin. And to clarify that, I think my DE Last Action Hero is a "good" pin.

I just got a text from him, and I am going to go look at it this Saturday. He may have to throw in some other stuff if this deal is to go down. The dudes I am dealing with are operators, so if I don't get the pin, it will be routed. And if trade my RTRs for it, they will get routed.

Definitely not worth $1000. It's not a bad game; It's great for kids and has a simple (read: easy to understand) ruleset that's great for a first pin. Not for the advanced crowd.

I would say $700-800, and just a solid, average 7/10 rating wise.

They're going to put a Game Show on their route? WTF... What's it going to make, like $10 a week?

Some ops are just nuts.

OK, thanx for the replies/info. As it sits now, no matter what condition the game is actually in, they're going the have to fork over a couple monitors, and the darn corner cut, JAMMAtized Dynamo cab I have wanting to get from them forever to house my Ikari Warriors to make it a deal :D

And no doubt, the RTRs will make more coin for them than the pin.

I'd try to get a better pin out of the deal. Drac, WCS, Shadow. Those are fun cheaper pins and since the RTR's would still pull in more coin, you have a bit of an advantage on the trade. Just depends on their inventory.

well their inventory is slim at the moment, especially for pins. Seems this is the only option and they just got it. Doubt they would pull anything worth while from their routes to offer.

I will check it out Saturday. We'll see if I can get a good deal for it.

Nope, that dude is probably 4 hours away from me, but has some cool stuff.

I actually did the deal. They want the 2 RTR that have Neotech monitors, so I am happy. I am getting a couple burn free K7400s too.

The pin is in superb shape cosmetically. The cabinet has very little wear, and the playfield looks very nice as well. It's going to need a good scubbing, and I may remove the mylar. So after a rubber ring replacement, a rebuild of the left flipper (weak), bulb replacements and a good cleaning, it'll be a sweet example!

Pics later today. :)
