thinking of selling my system I.

what do you guys think the value would be? cab in great shape but no sideart (new black vinyl). with all 5 kits (ppr repro overlay)? what are the kits worth?

thx

Whoa, all 5 kits? Boards and all? Id put at least a grand on that.

Unless you find a rich collector though, you might be better off selling the kits seperately. With the exception of RoadBlasters I think each complete kit is worth around $200 and I think Peter Pack Rat may be double that, not sure though.

Theres alot of System 1 cabs out there and most all of them have RoadBlasters in them (along with the infamous "T-Shirt" burn in the monitor), while most all the other kits are pretty hard to find today. One other kit is probably worth more than an entire RB kit with the cabinet, which is a shame because IMO its one of the best System 1 games.

yeah, all 5 kits. the PER marquee is a bad repro, but a new one is $20...

trying to decide if to sell as a whole or as kits...

:DWell if you split 'em up, consider what I said a big fat lie and sell me all your kits for five bucks shipped :D

Seriously though, good luck with whatever you decide.

Sadly to maximize your dollar, I think selling the kits separately is your best bet. A shame since you do not see a complete collection of these every day...

Kits
MM $300-400
PPR $300-400 Although I've seen a few kits offered and not sell over the last year
TOD$200-300
RR $250-350
RB - you'll be lucky if you can give it away for the cost of shipping.

Complete game
RB $150-250
RR $350-500
TOD $300-500
PPR $500-800 to right buyer
MM $500-800

All together probably a grand

Road Blasters are a dime a dozen as they're a million of them out there, I've gotten complete working boardsets for $50. But the rest are pretty valuable, especially MM, PPR and TOD, you've got some decent $ coming your way if you play it right.

Hopefully a local will buy it so we can have them all at the show again next year - Barry

I would rather see it stay local too...

Thanks. Hopefully I can sell it as a set. I have a wood frame I built to hold the boards and control panels. If I sell it locally, the buyer can have that...

Wow cant believe your selling Barry?? I played the Roadrunner at the show I think that was Barry's very nice machine. My wife was hooked on the Marble Madness. Not sure if that one was Barry's

I think if it was sold seperate it might be worth a bit more, as a package deal $1000 seems about right.

I think if I was selling it. I would sell the Marble Madness as a working unit, and sell the rest as kits.

Mine was the Road Runner...

Let's see. Picked up a fully working Road Blasters for $99.

Bought an Indiana Jones kit which cost me about $225 shipped. Converted it to Indiana Jones.

Sold my Roadblasters kit (nice, perfect overlay w/ black metal yoke) for $175 shipped. Found a Roadrunner kit. A guy local to the RR wanted an IJ, so he offered to pick up the RR game, strip the RR kit and swap me for the Indy kit. The trade was made for about $35 for shipping. Decided to restore the cabinet before installing the Roadrunner kit. Bought new vinyl and Sys 1 side art for about $125 shipped for all of it.

Got a PM from someone wanting a Marble Madness restored. Put out feelers and found a guy in FLA who was trying to sell his MM. I asked him if he'd sell me the kit. He agreed to do so. Sold me the kit (with 2 working motherboards) for $385 shipped. I then sold my Roadrunner kit for $275 shipped. I converted the cab to Marble Madness, but had trackball issues. Rebuilt my AR III board. Had a new CP harness made. Had my AR III board looked at by a pro. Replaced big blue. Total cost on those 3 items, $65. Replaced motherboard. Finally finished up the complete and working game, and sold it for $1050. The end.

I hope that helped.
