So, I'm getting to a point where I would like to add another SS/DMD pinball to my arcade. I have a few options in my general area that I may be interested in, plus I also have the Midwest Gaming Classic coming up so there are a few opportunities to buy. So, I am looking for some advice... Here's my options:

Street Fighter II - Actually love the theme, and have been on the lookout for a SF arcade as well. Machine is in good shape, and he is asking $1200 (he is a KLOVer, pinside has this estimated at $750 but I think that is low).

Checkpoint - Fun pin with some good ramp shots. Machine is fully shopped out. Seller is asking $1150, pinside has it at about $850.

So, should I jump on one of the above machines (and what would you offer?) or chance it and wait until I see what may be for sale at the MGC at the end of March? Just looking for some additional advice. Thoughts?

I haven't played either title so I can't comment on gameplay. Have you seen either machine in person. I think the prices on pinside are estimates based on average condition. Pin prices have been steadily rising so remember that.

Streetfighter II - Pinpedia $500 - $1000
Boston Pinball Avg - $698

Checkpoint - Pinpedia $500 - $1100
Boston Pinball Avg - $898

It's really about condition and how bad you want the machine. If they are really nice I'd offer just shy of high, if average I'd go $850 on the Streetfighter or $950 on the Checkpoint. I think you'd be ok at those prices, but it's just my opinion. - Barry
