Whats a fair price for a 4-slot Neo-Geo with these 15 carts:

Sonic wings 3
real bout fatal fury
bust a move
super sidekicks 2
metal slug
metal slug 3
top players golf
samurai shodown
samurai shodown 3
NAM-1975
magician lord
the super spy
SNK vs capcom svc chaos
crouching tiger hidden dragon 2003
ninja combat

Dude wants $700... I'm thinking of throwing him an offer as I wouldn't mind a Neo Geo in the collection... though my better sense is screaming at me "YOUR MAME DOES NEO-GEO PERFECTLY AND SAVES HIGH SCORES YOU DUMBASS"...

I'd say around $450 depending on the condition of cab for the lot. You can get most of those carts for $10. Some are worth more so you can average it to $15 per cart.

I don't have a lot of info on price. I paid $200 for my 4-slot with 1 cart. I thought it was on the high side, but I have seen others sell for $3-400 and most people seem to consider those good deals. The carts are good if you like those titles. You will probably want a multi cart anyway, which has those, accept for Magician Lord. I think most of those are $40 carts.

I even have Neo panels on my MAME cab, so it plays all of them great, but I still think the Neo cab was a great addition to the garage.

I think that price sounds a little high. Obviously you should try to get it for less.

If I remember correctly, I paid $350 for mine (original dedicated 4 slot) with 4 games. And, it's perfect - flawless.

Most NEO games save high score and the 120 in 1 cart rocks. I have that and 3 other games.

He's asking $700 which isn't ridiculous at all. Neos are still strong machines. I'd counter at $400-$450, but for that price, don't expect to get all the games.

My buddy can sell 2-slot Neos in Salem, Oregon all day long for $400. And when he does, he will only include two carts. $750-$800 is his selling price for a Neo with a multi cart in it.

Personally I think that it's a fair price with all those carts if the cab is in great condition. I would hope to sell for 700 and buy for 600. Anything less than $600 is a good price IMHO. It's about $200-300 in carts alone.

I sold my 2 slot with 4 or 5 carts for $350 for comparison... but that was about 3 years ago. I had picked it up for C$75 at the BC auction a few years earlier.

I offered $400 and was shot down. We'll see how it goes... he's not going to pull $700 or anything near that here in the Treasure Valley.

I paid $125 for my 4 slot MVS in a 2 slot cab. It came with 3 games:

The 120 in 1 didn't come with it.

The cabinet top looks as crooked as a Wacko in the photo, but that is just the photo. The cabinet is perfectly level on top IRL.

I paid $200 for my 4 slot with 4 games and it came with a new power supply and recapped monitor with new flyback. EV panels do not work (common) and it came without the memory card reader which I am tracking down.

The working 4 slot board is usually valued close to 200 bucks and all the carts total around 300, so his asking price isn't crazy. Neo's still pull decent money. I got my 2 slot for 200 w/ 2 carts and thought I got a super nice deal.

That's a great deal. I paid $120 for a 2slot cab that had a bad monitor that I had to fix. Not the best deal I've gotten but definitely not the worst. Incidentally, I have a memory card reader from a 4 slot cab. ;)

$125 is about what you get for a 4 slot pcb . $200 is for a 6 slot pcb. I'm thinking $225 for the cab. Yaton was selling a bunch of mvs carts for $10 with a shockbox not too long ago. $700 maybe if you piece it out.

Frizz: did you get a counter?

The Yaton cartridges are bootlegs, and they don't always work properly. It is not uncommon to have sound issues, although I have actually had a sound issue with a BRAND NEW original Metal Slug 5 cartridge. Original carts are DEFINITELY worth more than just "10 to 15 bucks". Metal Slug X seems to command about $75 regularly, and $50 would be on the low side from what I have seen.

A nice original Neo Geo 4 or 6 slot, particularly one with a number of original cartridges should be worth NO LESS than $500 in my opinion...

You can get most of those carts for $10.

Wrong..... Most of those are uncommon higher priced carts. There's actually alot of good carts in that lot. If it's an original cab with original carts all in nice shape i'd say $400.00 is a lowball offer.

When I sold my Neo Geo, which was a converted cab with a 1 slot that came with a 100 something in 1 multi-cart I sold it for $1200.00. Before that I sold a similar 1 slot in a converted cab with a 48 in 1 Neo Geo for $1260.00.
