Pics in my warehouse raid thread, been getting lots of interest in it. The KLOV database only has a black and white picture of it, is this thing rare? Just has a finicky connection I think, all else great. Bezel and marquee about perfect, control panel and cabinet really good, check the pics, it's missing the cash box door, and I can't find that on the Internet. pics show condition pretty good, what you'all think??? Have a tentative offer of 400 for it, but don't wanna let it go till I fix it and play it a bit

They are very rare. It was only produced in Japan from what I have been able to find. The hardware was modified Defender hardware licensed from Williams. Taito made a secondary board that contained the sound board, ROM board and interface board and top mounted it over a (mostly) standard Defender MPU board.

I have only played it in MAME so far. I haven't gotten my Colony 7 boardset running yet.

$400 might be a good price for it, as it is so rare that nobody but collectors are going to know anything about it. Games like that typically don't hold up much value in a market that seems to only know that 4 video games were ever produced (Donky Kong, Pac Man, MS Pac Man and Galaga). :(

Interesting piece of history Ken! Living in the Chicagoland area has many perks when it comes to see the latest games out there... I know for a fact I've *never* seen one of these in any arcades back then!

Not sure price wise but I have a felling once it's fixed; you'll be hanging onto it....Very addicting game!

I have one as well, unfortunately there´s no PCB inside, otherwise the overall condition is ok...

I'd imagine the hardware "design" came from when Taito licensed Defender for release in Japan.

Colony 7 was indeed also released and manufactured in the US. From the style of it, it very well could have been programmed by Taito America.

Also note the enemies are called "Jarvians" :)

I think I have one of those I pulled from a Taito Crazy Climber cab....

Hey Matt, I'll take it, how much ya want? Not gonna mess with this game for awhile, but will need that door eventually.

Pm me your price and paypal info. Thank you sir

If I find it you can have it. I'll search for it tonight.

Colony 7 looks cool. Never played it though. I have wondered what it would take to get it running on a multi-WMS platform....

Sorry, all I could find is the frame that mounts to the cab that holds the coin box (which I think you already have). I don't have the actual coin box that slides into it. If anyone out there needs that frame let me know and you can have it. It's got the hammered gray finish. I have the metal coin chutes too.

Coin door

Good luck finding the coin door.. Someone repro'd them a little while back, but they weren't cheap.. Took me months to find an original one for my stratovox.. They pop up sometimes, but expect to pay $50 or more :(

That's a pretty kickass taito you got.. Never had the chance to own one of those. Rarest taito I've got is a Change Lanes.. Only know one other person who has a complete one..

i had a minty one a while back. it is a great game. i got it in a bulk buy a few of us socal klovers did back in 2005. i also got a dedicated brix in that buy. my brix is the one pictured on klov. anyway, a guy back east offered to buy it along with 8 other games i had. i was sad when it left but i needed the cash at the time. at the time i had no idea the game was rare. i still have a mutual friend with the buyer and he says he still has it and i think im going to try and buy it back.

Is that wired 110 or 220? Looks liked its is priced 1 DM and 5 DM, (Deutshmark) German game perhaps?
