(A) Is Bally Game Show a decent pin? I've never played it.

(B) One came up local... non-working but in good cosmetic condition. Not sure what's up with it (nor are they... they got it from a family member) but they're looking for "offers".... any suggestions?

Of course I'd drop by and take a look at the boards. Could be something simple... could be something not-so-simple. Sounds like I could get it pretty cheap though (they said $300 but are taking offers).

I have not played it personally but I have never met a System 11 game I didn't like. I would offer $200 and pay the $300 if they turned that down. I would be doing this immediately. Worst case is a part out for a profit. Assuming it's complete. Best case is a fuse or something.

I would check for battery corrosion when you go look at it. I would still take it even with a melted MPU but that's just me.

Just my $.02

EDIT: If you have the phone number you should call. It's a good enough price that there are probably other people who are already interested. I wouldn't be emailing on this one.

Game show is one of the favorite pins here! I absolutely love it, very fun to play and at $300 for a non working? I'm jump on that price!

Well of course it just needs a fuse!

That's always the thing with non-working vids & pins, amirite? ;)

Definitely. There has been a Stern Nine Ball for sale here for months that just needs a "couple of fuse". I can't figure out why people are not jumping on it for $1500.

If they said $300 but taking offers ... you're pretty much screwed buddy. You can bet that "offer" price tag is sitting at $700 by now. If you want it - you damn well better be jumping on it now in hopes I'm wrong ;)

He's right. If a flipper hasn't already snatched it up (at $300) and re-listed it, then the price is likely up a good bit.

+1

just picked up a ROLLER GAMES (sys 11c) with a real nice playfield. boots up and plays.
cabinet is water damaged and im on the fence if its fixable. light rust on the metal parts
paid 400 and i figure i have a working board set and a nice playfield so i guess its worth it

a game show for 300? i'd get it. probably worth 900-1100 if its shopped out and 100%
maybe more, depends

Dude...surely you know enough about pins by this point that you would go get the game, then post your score. That is a great deal at $300. It's at least worth a look-see.

Game show is pretty neat. $800-$900 in shopped condition easy.

The CL ad mentions a garage sale and a pinball machine... no names... she responded via email as to the name and mentioned the price. I responded immediately (before posting) "I'm interested... I'm in Nampa too and would like to come take a look.... my number is xxx-xxxx... give me a call when it's convenient. Thanks!"

...still waiting.

to be honest, if it were me, i wouldve said "when can i come to pickup the machine"

because if its complete crap you can always say i didnt realize it was in this condition ill give you xxx, or if its good then you quickly hand over the cash load and book!, that way its yours no question

hope you get it!!!!

Exactly. You always reserve the right to walk if it isn't what you were led to think it was. You can also always swing that into a better deal as long as you are willing to walk. If it really isn't what you thought it was going to be, then there is nothing dirty about that. It's only dirty if it is what you expected and you lie and try to get a better deal.

I talked to her last night... she said she didn't have time to show me the game but that the "yard sale" started 8AM this morning. I thought about getting there around 7:30AM but after some deliberation with the wife I decided to save my dough and put it toward a Golden Tee Fore: Complete PCB set.
