9/10 Condition + (restored no burn in monitor, brand new or recently replaced art, replaced or rebuilt controls)

Basically fully restored machines.

1. Missile Command

2. Tempest

Before people chime in w/prices, just my own opinion: I'll pay more for a 9/10 in original shape than a 9/10 that's been restored. Many people don't care, but I do.

Yeah, I kind of mean one thats restored and not original because I don't care, and I realize that it would be more expensive.

This is great news!

I have a 9/10 Tempest for sale for $6-800.

You guys may not agree (in fact I'm sure you don't) but ...

1. Missile Command - $1300 - $1600

2. Tempest - $1500 - $1800

Remember, this is for someone who wants a completely restored machine, not what KLOV prices. I know I couldn't even restore one for the prices you have listed.

** This is using my definition of 9/10 which is pretty close to perfect.

Pristine examples I could see those prices being asked, not that I would be a buyer but I could see them and not be shocked.

You should show photos first the askers 9/10 might be your 6/10.

Both of those are very unwanted and lame games. I'd go no higher than $100 each, but since we are both KLOVers I'll throw in a little extra so $250 for both and you get all that floor space back. I'll deal with the hassle of these unwanted games ;)

Exactly why I stated those prices were using my definition of 9/10

I agree, you have very high standards. A good set of high quality photos would go a long way to help fix the price. I can't tell you how many people have said 9/10 and when I went to see a machine it was closer to 4/10.

I spent $300 on my Tempest. Spent $125 to have the monitor rebuilt. Spent $35 for a nicer used marquee. Spent $35 for a nice used spinner. Spent $10 on new edge connectors w/split pins. $12.50 on a new big Blue, $12 on an ARII rebuild kit. $20 on new T-molding. I need a new CPO at $60 shipped. I am into it for $600 and haven't even restored the machine yet. All that and now I have vertical collapse, hopefully caused by bad output transistors, which I just ordered. If I could find a nice, bullet-proofed Tempest that I never had to worry about? I'd drop $800 on it in a heartbeat. Sometimes it's just better to pay up front rather than nickel and dime yourself over the course of a year or 2 or 3.
