Previous owner said I should multi this. But I dunno...(Journey Cocktail #228)

I mean, I guess 60 games is a lot better than one, and this isn't a great game...

Would it be hard to rip out all of the original guts and multi it? Opinions, please!

(Yes, I'm kidding...although the seller did suggest I multi it.)

I mean, it works and everything, but look at that CP! I think I'd better gut it...

You should multi it, Journey blows(The band AND the game...the game far more though).

And I'm NOT kidding... :D

Know what's worse? It still has a working tape player. That means it could actually play Journey music with the right tape:

...but this was the tape I found in the deck. Close, but no cigar!

Signage be damned, you should put the player in fast forward mode and see if Asia hid any messages in their songs like The Thompson Twins did (errr ummm or so I've heard)

I already did. If you listen very carefully, you can hear, clear as day: thiiiiiiiiiis iiiiiiiiiiiis crrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaapp... :D

I'm hoping this thread is dripping with sarcasm, but with this crowd, you can never tell...

That's frickin' beautiful!

journey

i would restore. sad to see that get 60-1. seems rare to me, how rare is it?

Lol, that's true - and yeah, it's all sarcasm. This is probably the second-cleanest cocktail I've ever owned, and it doesn't look like a single thing has ever been touched inside of it (except for Asia instead of Journey, and a credit button carefully put in on one of the coin slots).

- Tape interface working perfectly
- Board seems to have no problems
- Monitor is super clean, good color, no waviness
- Original battery is on power board, isn't leaking a bit so far, and is saving high scores

In the immortal words of Samuel L Jackson, waste the mother fu@#er. 60 in 1 for sure. That game is a pile. I would do it in a heartbeat if it were mine. ;)

Oh wait, we are done with the sarcasm I see. :) You are a lucky man, that is beautiful. Nice pickup.

Fairly rare in terms of finding one today, but I have no idea how many they originally made.

That's sexy as hell. I think i like it better than an upright.

And update the tape player to mp3 :)

There isn't a way to do this currently AFAIK. But looks as though someone is working on it...*crossed fingers*

please dont. While the miday cabs are desired to multi, this ones too nice. Sell this for a cgood coin to someone who will appreciate it, taske the money and buy an empty or converted midway cocktail, make that your multi and enjoy or resell that for even more money.

If I wasn't too tired I would ask for a top view picture of this cab and photoshop Donkey Kong on the screen and give it to you to post later but that would just be mean. ;)

While I'm sure they are out there on some level, this is the first time I've seen a Journey ct. Man that thing is uber-sweet :fing02:!

So what's the story behind the pickup? Inquiring minds want to know...

Journey, Pat Benatar and Loverboy are playing together here in the Quad Cities in November...I could record a live copy of Separate Ways with their new singer...with the ambient sounds of maybe a hundred post-menopausal female fans screaming. Then you could find someone to hack the ROMs to replace Steve Perry's face with the new singer - now THAT would be cool.

That ASIA tape contains some decent music. I still have the copy I purchased when it was released(I admit I haven't listend to it for at least 25+years now)

Their first tape was recorded on "chromium dioxide" tape....damn near CD quality sound from any crappy tape player.

Oh...nice cocktail BTW!
