How do you guys prevent the TNuts from comming out from under your Cabinets?

I personally think the OEM use of a Staple or two it just an accident waiting to happen.

I admit I didn't do any googling to find out that there were Leg Leveler plates sold by HAPP; TBH - I'm leary that four wood screws are going to hold during all that torque of "walking" a cabinet into place.

My solution was to laser cut some plates out of poplar, epoxy the Tnut in place; and use gorilla glue + staples to secure the Tnut.

A future improvement might be to get some high quality thin plywood to make it even more durable.

I posted the process to my arcade blog - including opensourcing the designs to the public:

What are the other lengths people have gone to in attempts to secure their feet?

If you're going to be taking it to that extreme, you might as well save yourself the headache, and just get Bob's leveling kit:

I definitely understand the quest for keeping it as original as possible, but I hate the whole T-Nut thing with a passion. There's been one in the passenger floorboard of my truck for like 3 months now and I don't even know what machine it might've fallen off from. Your design looks fine and so does the hardware that Bob sells, but I'm pretty much sold on another idea entirely:

Someone, over the past week or two, posted some pics around here of a cab onto the bottom of which (on the actual bottom wall edges) he had placed some of those plastic furniture slider thingies. He even cited, responding to someone's inquiry, the name for these particular variants. Anyone remember? I've spent a few minutes searching for that thread without success, yet.

I know that you can't use sliders for leveling but the real problem in my world is moving these things (without causing them to consequently need leveling) and I'm hoping that the slider thing is going to be the answer.

I agree with smalltownguy2, get Bob's leveling kit with the large plates. The small plates and T-nuts suck.
Wile your solution will work, it's still a T-nut and for the weight it supports it's just not enough surface and when the leveler rusts in the T-nut and you try to adjust it, if it doesn't ring off it will spin the T-nut loose inside the wood. If the leg levelers ever get wet from water on the floor wither it's less that an inch in the garage or the carpet in the game room gets wet from a busted hose on the washing machine or a bad sump pump in a basement if you have one, the leg levelers suck up the water and rot the wood around the T-nuts. I have repaired my Asteroids cabinet and have a few more to go.

Those are the same ones HAPPs sells for 3.50 each.
The problem with the bolt on plates is they only work if you can reach the topside of the cabinet; to run the nuts onto the bolts. For items like the Star Trek Captain's Chair; you can't easily bolt on that style... would have to use wood screws.

As far as spinning Tnuts; I hadn't thought about that. Hopefully wouldn't be a problem given the use of gorilla glue; but not sure.

I use the plates with wood screws and adhesive. Haven't had an issue yet. Put sliders on it and you're good to go. As far as keeping it original...if you're tilting my cab up to make sure it's original under there, you've got issues.
