Is ALOT of freaking work!!! this is my first pin to prep, ive shipped vids but never a pin. This process is more work than i thought it would be. I followed instructons but added more packing materials than it called for.

This was one I had shipped to me a few weeks back.

Its been a while but it isn't that bad. First, I would remove the pinballs, put the playfield glass back on and secure it. Then put cardboard over glass and lower the head, which I would shrinkwrap. Then using a barstool to support the back of the body, I would remove the back legs and lower the back to the floor. Then, its easy to stand the body on end and remove the front legs. The easiest way to secure the legs is to hand them on two corners of the backbox and two corners of the front of the body, then shrinkwrap them in place. I usually put the pinballs into a plastic bag and tied them to the coin door wiring. Afterward, I wrapped the whole thing in cardboard wrap and then again in shrinkwrap and strapped it to a pallet. I must have shipped close to a hundred pins this way and only once did I have a problem (except when a carrier dropped one off the pallet).

Long winded, I know, but its much easier than it sounds.
