Lots of body damage on this one... Remarkably the sides are in really good shape!!!

I will begin with...

Replacing the top, both upper and lower rear faces, the floor and the front panel... oh and the door ... no amount of bondo will fix that.

...funny... I'll be using bondo to fix a driving game ;) heh

I've not decided what I'm going to do with the PCB cage...either replace it with a not-so-nasty one or I may have it powder coated with the power block the same gold color I've done in the past on my other restores.

Lots of work ahead of you here...

You're making me feel a lot better about my PP2 that I just got. It's dirty and banged up and looks way better than yours. :D

I like the PP II dash panel stuck to the top of the marquee.
How come in one picture the dash has a regular PP sticker but in another there is a PP II?

Can't wait to see how it turns out. If it's anything like your Berzerk it should look great.

This was a PP II. I have both a Pole and Pole II dash... The Pole II dash was stuck on top of the Pole dash and I took it off for the pic.

The marquee was a PP II overlay, someone peeled it off, leaving parts of it on the glass.

I have a NOS PPII overlay for it.

I'm not sure what my plan is. Restore to Pole Position with Pole II boards or do a full on Pole II?

Perhaps meet somewhere in the middle... Pole Position marquee, dash and Pole II bezel with Pole II PCB???

Dunno...

Crap - I said marquee but I meant bezel. I seem to have a lot of problems keeping them straight lately.

When I did mine, even though it's a PP II, I used a regular PP dash panel. I liked the guages better, and the bezel already has the track layouts.

Ha! Happens to me from time to time ... I chaulk it up to gettin old.

Also I'm thinking along these same lines with the bezel... I'm getting a NOS PPII bezel.

Ok... I've decided I'm going to rebuild this bad boy... completely! Going to use this cab as a template.

See you in a few days with some progress!
