Can anyone tell me what replacement pinballs you prefer? I have a feeling mine might be original. This guy suggests (by ranking):

1. Pinsound Multiballs
2. Silverjet
3 Ninja

Im trying to get through his video but it's like listening to Michael Caine..

I've been going with SilverJet. They work well, are highly polished, and I like them.

I've never heard of Pinsound.

Thank you for that. I was going to order the Pinsound ones but I wasn't overly happy with the shipping cost and timelines.

I just ordered silverjets from Marco. They have 6 in a pack, and my Gottlieb Arena only requires 3, so I'll have an extra set. I also did confirm my Arena uses 1 1/16" balls, as per the manual (for future readers). I was going to try the Ninjas, but they were at the bottom of the list on the reviewer in the video, and he did a pretty thorough review, imo.

When I went to Electric Dreams last wknd, the shiny balls really added bling to the experience. Their machines were beautiful and definitely well-loved.

I didn't even know pinsound sold balls.

Next time try Ball Baron. Ninjas are highly recommended by the users of Pinside and I would trust them a lot further than some youtuber trying very hard to sound like he knows what he's talking about. They're also almost half the price of the silverjets, and if you're willing to settle for merely very shiny as opposed to "can shave with it" Hi-Standards are even cheaper.

Thank you for that. I liked that they were made in USA, but didn't want to get them and then be bummed.

Maybe I'll just have to buy a 2nd pin to put them in 😆

Don't worry, you'll want to replace the balls after a couple thousand plays. It's not as regularly needed on an old EM as for moderns that smack the ball around harder, but few things destroy playfields like dirty, scratched or "facteted" pinballs.
