Prebay: Original Atari Pong Upright Near Denver

Where was this a year ago, when I had some excess cash? No way I can buy it now. Wish I could. :(

Can you tell me what value pots are used for the paddles? I'm trying to get my boards running and I haven't been able find the type of pots used. I have a couple of pong boards, but no cabs and no complete schematics.

Good luck with the sale!

The pots are 5k Ohm. They're available at Radio Shack and Bob Roberts :)

Wow! That is sweet!

Is there a specific OEM monitor? I had heard that those machines used regular TVs inside them.

Good luck with the sale, Ray!

I'd love to have it, but I like being married so much more! :D

With all of the early 'Pong' type machines the tv inside could change from one week of production until the next.

Nice game and a good reserve price, thank you for posting your reserve so people know what they have to hit.

Man, great work on the repro. I think you put more effort into yours than they did when they first built them.

c'mon, ethan!! that costs a lot less than a divorce would. :), besides, with all the games you have, do you really think anyone'd notice one more?

Thanks guys. It is now on eBay, reserve is set at $499.

Ethan, it appears there were several models of B&W TVs used inside these games. I think there were also a few cabinet styles and other minor differences between the early models.

The coin box looks like a small cake pan, like the kind my mom used to use to make banana nut bread. Pretty funny.

so this is the pong you spoke of yesterday. looks very nice ray, as usual. and a free bump.

Uh, YES. She just discovered a cab in the garage that I didn't mention I got in the last haul.
